The "Ah Ha" moment was the geometry moment. Changing it on my own knives over the decades has un-scientifically saved my bacon and knives from disappointment and the landfill. It is truly a balancing act and when you find that balance point, just like doing a wheelie on your Schwinn, you know you've got it just right.

I actually use the awl on my Vic electrician often as a cannabis user it's sharp and good at scraping and scratching off residue from my vape screens and it makes perfect holes for making buckets/gravity bongs.

Funny, looking today for some new Black friday deals for some new kitchen knife for x-mass....and i am ending up in a very, very deeeeep rabbit hole. Now that I watched sever knife videos, learn so much about steels in endless variations as well how to sharpen the knifes with tons of tools (spoiler: honing stones still the best), i feel like a doctor too. 🙃

Always enjoy watching your videos and seeing what you’ve been up to Zac, sounds like an incredible time; and if you need some help with next year’s adventures well I’ve always wanted to roadtrip the country😂

I'll be honest, I hate multitool pliers. They're just bad, I have a whole drawer full of better, easier to carry pliers to throw in my pocket if need be. To add insult to injury, they make the knife part worse than it needs to be.

Great to see you back! It's been fun following the adventure through the year. For the next LL Bean purchase, from a lifetime New Englander, gotta go with some slippers. Nothing beats em haha!

Zack it is fantastic to see you back brother. I lost interest in the EDC and knife community when your channel went away. And I’ve got the same version of the knife you carry aka the Zack official Version. It’s definitely my favorite EDC blade now. Well done brother

As a sofer, when using my knife to make reed pens, the awl is much better for drilling the ink reservoir than the blace tip, which is much more likely to split the reed.

Hey, nice job on the Yonder! Picked mine up at Knifeworks. It's a great little knife and it's been in my pocket since I got it. I hope you make another with a slightly larger handle and blade . . . you can call it the Holler '-)

The most dangerous knife in America is probably a surgical scalpel, a #10, #11 or #12. Like other tools, many more are used to save a life than to end a life.
