Growing up my town (in USA) had a Saint Lucia recital every year before Christmas… I got to sing a solo as Saint Lucia in Swedish, with real candles in a crown on my head! It was such an amazing experience. 🕯🙏🏼

You make the vocation of marriage look so fun! I always kinda thought the marriage vocation was all boring and suffering and made me not want to go into that vocation. But you highlight all good ideas to incorporate into family time. I didn't grow up with family traditions, let alone catholic ones. So I look up to you

I live in the Netherlands and in my country Saint Nicholas is the big feast with presents. A few weeks before the feast, Saint Nicholas arrives in the Netherlands in a big boat. Children can watch it on national television. Saint Nicholas even visits schools on the fifth of december. In the days coming up to the feast, children put their shoe in front of the fireplace and get sweets or little presents in it during the night when they sleep. On the evening of the 5th of december, presents are brought to the homes bij Saint Nicholas and families celebrate the evening together. We drink hot chocolate and eat all sorts of special sweets and biscuits.

I love your tradition of hiding St. Nicholas!! That's super precious and I'll be doing that when my kid(s) get a little older! This is a wonderful video! Advent has always been my favorite liturgical season - my mom was like you with a passion for bringing it into the home and she gave me that passion too! 🥰🥰 God bless!

You've helped me be a better Catholic. 💓 Thank you for being such an inspiration to me and so many others by sharing your traditions and daily practices of your Catholic based life🙏 Before following your you tube I was only doing mediocre as a Catholic. But now, practicing Catholicism looks so different in my home💓

This will be my first Advent and Christmas as a confirmed Catholic- I’m super excited to celebrate! I’m the only Catholic in my household (there’s only one other Catholic in the family but she lives across the country) so I hope I can find ways to celebrate solo or invite my family to celebrate with me!

Thanks so much for these wonderful videos. Many people, including me, do not know how to celebrate Advent, which is such an important event since we are preparing for Jesus Christ's holy Birth. With this video, we get an idea of how to celebrate. Thank you so much, may God Bless you and your lovely family. ✝️💕🌺🥰

That's funny, I had commented on your advent prep video about what you do for St. Nicholas' feast Day. I love that you go out to look at Christmas lights on St. Lucy's Feast. One of our sons is born on her feast, so it's a huge day of treats.

We make chocolate coins on St Nicholas day wrapped up in gold foil. I hang out stockings on that day and fill them up with goodies including the coins. The stockings are taken down after the day is over and packed in with other Advent stuff once the season of Advent is over.

Thank you for this video!! I've been wanting to do more for advent so this is just what I needed. A friend told me in reference to decorating earlier than Christmas eve, that advent is about preparing your heart so why not prepare your home for Christ's coming also? No judgement here.

We had the Advent wreath in our home, a creche which we always placed in the hibachi-sized fireplace in our family room, the Advent calendar. Plus we also had the Christmas tree. Wonderful memories.

I ordered the Giving Manger set this year based your video last year. It was sold out last year so I ordered early!❤️ We do an Advent wreath and a small Advent devotional and we leave shoes out for St. Nicholas on December 6. I really want to incorporate the Jesse tree. I’m not very crafty, so I’d need a set. And I have to budget for that! I love the idea of the cake for Our Mother’s days! I’d love to incorporate a special celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe. So many ideas for a newer Catholic ❤️

I used to do St Lucy with my daughter and after she grew up I did it for past few years with my son but now he's ten and doesn't like being dressed up as a girl! So on St Lucy day we bake cookies n serve hot coffee with it. My daughter would carry it on a tray and serve the family in the morning.
