Since I have way too much free time on my hands I made a video of our dogs today. All seven are mixed breeds and we "rescued" four of them (the maximum allowed) from our county's animal control department. The oldest, Donut, is about 9 years old and the youngest, Skippy, is two. After Donut in age there's Oprah (female black lab mix), Blue (a male Jack Russell mix named after a dog Barney Fife had in an episode of "The Andy Griffith Show"), Dixie (a Rottweiler mix whom we adopted at the age of 6-7 months. She ran very awkwardly and could barely climb steps so we think she obviously didn't go outside much and may have spent most of the time in a cage or crate), Pretzel (a brindle female who may have some Beagle in her), Petunia (a Beagle mix who likes to eat. We take her on walks on a daily basis and are trying to limit her food intake), and Skippy (a Boxer mix who, at the age of two, is finally starting to calm down and not engage the other dogs in fights. Did you notice that she's wearing a bark collar? You can guess why). Our back yard is about an acre in size and is fenced in so they have a lot of room to run.
