I have worked with and mentored a number of the Lost Boys for 20 years in the Boston/Worcester area - individually and through two different non profits. I'm "grandma" to ten kids (two families) from the next generation. A life time experience like no other and for the better! I consider myself beyond fortunate to be a part of their lives!

I was one of them...but Canada took me through WUSC, the World Service University of Canada. Canada took those with families and the "Interlectuals" because with some brains, we could move one and build a loveable society.

What’s an “interlectual”?! 🤔😅😂 How do you like Canada?

I used to work with an Ethiopian refugee. She was also given a date of birth as January 1st. I always found that little fact so fascinating.

I was one of them but my mind betrayed me and so Canada took me. No birthdates, but those who cared gave us January 1 1980.

Im so sorry to hear this. Were watching your documentary for class and it frustrates me so much how the USA handled yall and then tried to make themselves seem like jesus christ. Im so sorry. How are you now? did you get money from the documentary? do you still contact with family? is there anything we can do to help?

We Americans love rags-to-riches stories. It's our history. But this story seems so colonial, so reaffirming that our American way of life is better than others.

Why does Canadian always got to be the smart ones, eh? Because we got that "invitive" nature that keeps us going.
