Our American Bulldog thinks shes sneaky...

I set up a camera to catch my dog on the couch. Whenever i came home, the couch was messed up, but she was no longer on the couch. As it turns out, she would watch me back out of the driveway, then take a nap on the couch while we were gone. But as soon as she heard us coming through the front door, she would hop down and pretend nothing was goin on. In my experiment, i backed down the driveway, parked at my neighbors house, then came in through the garage door, which i left open and unlocked so she wouldnt have a chance to react. BUSTED! lol. I miss this dog. We recently had to put her down due to a bone cancer she got in her nose. Sad. She was only 4 years old.

I used to own one years ago. Beautiful loyal breed. Excellent guard dog excellent for security. Now I have a another bulldog won’t mention region type but also another great guard dog very loyal and beautiful 💕💕💕

So sorry for your loss. What a beautiful animal, and I might add *smart enough to not get caught* until you resorted to surveillance video. I had an ABD for a while (someone had obviously used her for breeding, and I guess she was "used up", so they just left her on the street). Sadly, I don't have a yard so I had to let a cousin take her. One of the best personalities in the dog world.

I have an American bulldog that I rescued from a shelter. He was adopted out once before I got him but was returned because he was deaf and the family didn't know how to handle a deaf dog. I had volunteered at the shelter for quite some time, but from the moment I saw him I said to myself that I had to get him. He was so scared half the time, and four years later to this day he still doesn't trust strangers. It takes him a while to warm up to somebody. But he has been really easy to train with hand signals and I would never trade him for anybody. Your dog is absolutely beautiful, and my dog really favors her a lot.

Reminds me of my family dog that we just had to put down a few months ago. Hardest thing I've ever done. He was a130 pound American bulldog. Looked t him like a brother. He had polka dots on his ears. This reminded me so so much of him ;-(

Our Bouvier des Flandres was the same, even if we were home but upstairs she would jump up on the couch but as soon as someone was walking down the stairs she quickly scurried into the kitchen on to her bed. She was hilarious.

I have a American bulldog looks just like yours. He is trained to sit, stay, speak, play dead , roll over , not allowed in daughters room, will not run away, but I can't get him to stay off my couch... I block them off with chairs every time we leave the house... Hahaha
