Aaron, you’ve out done yourself. Between the music and drone footage, you had me engaged from the start. It’s always fun to watch Laura forage for supplies from local nature.

It is amazing, not only his drone shots, but how nowadays someone can get these kind shots, edit. add music, etc. with relatively inexpensive equipment. Years ago this would have taken a pilot in a helicopter, a camera crane, a full editing bay, audio engineer and a full union crew to do the job! Oh... and a TV network to show it on!

Laura, You’ve made me realize that all seasons are fun and there’s something beautiful to see (and do) in each. I notice how the landscape changes but is still alive with color. Life doesn’t stop after summer. Thank you for my new beautiful perspective 🌞🍁❄️🌷 Today I stopped hating winter.

Agreed! After I started watching her years ago, my perspective on winter changed, too. We don’t live where there is snow and it always felt ugly, brown, and depressing to me until I learned how to appreciate the changes. Now I can see them everywhere. Laura and Aaron, your channel is truly a treasure!

When one starts feeling one must do something rather than feeling one has to do it because others are, that is when one knows one has to identify what truly makes one happy. This year my outdoor and indoor holiday decor is more on the minimal yet natural side and I absolutely love it. I used to feel overwhelmed by all these decorations .

Last years foraging with her mom and her and a picnic is one of my favorite videos. I wish I had that type of relationship with my mom. When she slipped i remember my klutz of a adopted daughter being super pregnant and falling on ice right onto her belly. Her labor started but they were able to stop it as it was too early. But scared the heck out of me.

I always appreciate seeing footage of Idaho like this. It reminds of how much I love the hills and mountains here. Never to be taken for granted. It's beautiful. Now I've got to make that goal of getting an off the grid cabin for summertime peacefulness. Just planted the native wild rose here in my own yard. My MIL told me to cut the spent blooms like you would with other roses. I was like, "No! I'm leaving them for the rosehips!"

Laura, you are spot on when it comes to adapting and being flexible. I think we also need to think about the joy of the people around us, because if we are down, it brings everyone else down, as they want us to be happy. This year has been different that is for sure. I have decorated about as much as usual, but its bittersweet since few people will be over. Its for me though. I am having some occasional difficulties with not having our traditional get togethers, but we are going to gather in smaller groups (I have three grown children 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren) and then zoom our gift giving. I hope everyone else out there is able to make this year special in some way, and not be totally discouraged.
