So sorry to hear that it was such a difficult process for you guys. I applied fiancee visa outside of the UK independently. We switched to a spouse visa within the UK after the wedding and it was actually very smooth, and got it within 4 weeks. I know how Raya felt waiting in limbo, so relieved to hear that you got granted! Congratulations again ❤

Oh boy. Feel your pain and frustration. My wife is from Uruguay and we went through the same long end expensive spouse visa process in the UK! In our case my wife and 4 Yr old son had to leave after 6 months and wait in Uruguay. 7 months apart! Really really unfair especially for my son. The whole process is messed up. Love your videos! USA volts wagon trip awesome! Good luck with everything! (we're back in Uruguay after all that!)

We're starting the visa application process, trying to figure out the best route to take. We still live in Finland, where we are right now. My partner is Swedish, we're not married but have 3 kids together. I am Scottish and we are moving back to Scotland. We want to all be together in Scotland by summer but are trying to figure out how to get a visa for daddy in a way that he doesn't have to be apart from us for too long and isn't too expensive. I'm so glad your visa got aproved! Listening to the Costa Rican bugs in the background brings back magical memories for me! Neo is going to love exploring the jungle.

Hope you see this: You can get a Pet Visa once you get anywhere in the EU and have an EU vet give them their shots. For some reason, it HAS to be done by an EU vet. I know this because I am looking at moving from the US to a country in the EU, and it specifies that once you get your pet seen by a vet in the EU (countries in the EU are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden) then you can use that passport and then you will NOT have to jump through near as many hoops. Hope this helps!

Guys please do build a structured bedroom( maybe even 2) and bathroom area for your interim housing. In addition to the bus . It wont be very expensive to build a simple structure but it will be safer from the elements and also more secure than the bus. It might seem like wasting money or that it will take more time . But as you have seen how things an get so horribly delayed and out of plan , in the long run this idea makes good sense.
