Our Bali Cost of Living Monthly: How much living here costs in 2021

We share our current costs of living in Bali, Indonesia, now in 2021. We don't drink alcohol and we don't party, and generally we lead a peaceful quiet existence in a more secluded part of Bali (as opposed to Seminyak... Kuta etc). We sketch out the basic costs involved in setting up a simple home here and go through daily life aspects such as food, transport, mobile data plan charges, monthly electricity bills etc. If you share similar lifestyle preferences to us, we hope the information shared in this video can be a helpful point of reference to you in your own planning for your time in Bali, Indonesia.

Such a calm voice, love the way you show real Bali and not the fancy one. I miss it so much, was living there in Ubud during pandemic with my girlfriend and we were renting just a room with shared kitchen and pool for 200$/month and the monthly expenses were much under 1000$ even going out for food moderately. For a young couple was more than enough :)

Wow! The prices are deff manageable, it’s really not too expensive! U guys deff do live a simple life which also helps with the expenses. I like how theres markets on the street! Usually the price of fruits and veggies at the market are pretty reasonable!! So nice the beach is free haha! I know some beaches have entrance fees 🤦🏻‍♀️ very interesting video and helpful to those who are thinking of traveling/living in Bali ☺️❤️

As someone who retired here early 2000's I have become aware of the seemingly constant price rises in supermarkets and being charged 'bule' prices which is why i ask my driver to get for me! I think we should wait until Bali is back into full swing and then we may get a better idea of cost of living.

I love this type of video from our region. I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We are a family of four, 2 teenage daughters, and we live on a very modest $1300 USD per month. That includes such things as unlimited mobile data for 4 of us. We don't eat out too often though :) I am hoping to be able to increase this to around $1700 a month in a few years time.....then I feel we will be living like royalty.....lol.....cheers edit: my wife owns her house....so no rental costs

Looks idyllic almost like a dream! Beautiful land and nice people. I must visit Bali one day for an extended vacation. Do you plan to live there forever? Beyond a vacation, how do you adapt to a new culture, and how would you cope when boredom or drudgery starts creeping in 6 months or two years down the road?

We’ve both separately n together lived in many different places across the world. Bali is our conclusion after all those experiences. Being here is the result of over 6-8 years of dedicated financial planning (saving n investing etc w this end goal in mind). We wanna be here precisely because we r passionate about surf, fitness n art n music n we can live here n do all that so everyday is a productive day for us. We’re never really bored n it feels quite busy each day to be honest.
