For those of you considering living in Indonesia, with the $1400 - 1500 budget per month you can live comfortably in any places of Indonesia. Hi Seminyak is where a lot of the action is although if u r new to Bali u might enjoy that a lot. We r up in the Bukit near Jimbaran area n that’s predominantly cos we r surfers n the better more advanced surfing is here in the Bukit (up the hill nearer to Uluwatu). U shd probably try living around a few different areas to really find what suits u! Ubud doesn’t have sea access but it’s very peaceful n green n yogic
Jean. This is a great video. Thank you so much. Wish you both all the best. Please make more like this!

Thanks for sharing! It seems quite affordable to live in Bali. You have found ways to keep costs way down. Good for you!

It’s not really about lowering costs but just we enjoy a simple life generally and don’t feel we need more. Lots of expats here live on higher budgets generally we think

Although the video is excellent and explains many details. As someone who retired here early 2000's I have become aware of the seemingly constant price rises in supermarkets and being charged 'bule' prices which is why i ask my driver to get for me! I think we should wait until Bali is back into full swing and then we may get a better idea of cost of living.

I live in Canada, and this video just has me in awe!! It costs so much to live here!! We live frugally and have no debt but the cost of living each month is extremely high, especially now because the cost of groceries is skyrocketing.

Looks idyllic almost like a dream! Beautiful land and nice people. I must visit Bali one day for an extended vacation. Do you plan to live there forever? Beyond a vacation, how do you adapt to a new culture, and how would you cope when boredom or drudgery starts creeping in 6 months or two years down the road?
@JeanVoronkova3 жыл бұрын
We’ve both separately n together lived in many different places across the world. Bali is our conclusion after all those experiences. Being here is the result of over 6-8 years of dedicated financial planning (saving n investing etc w this end goal in mind). We wanna be here precisely because we r passionate about surf, fitness n art n music n we can live here n do all that so everyday is a productive day for us. We’re never really bored n it feels quite busy each day to be honest.
