It's horrible how badly Hef treated him. He's such a nice guy, so sweet. Just shows what an insecure you-know-what Hef was, to be jealous of a guy that was NOT interested in women!!!!!
@KingBrokenCode6 ай бұрын
I doubt he was jealous. He didnt want a man photographed or filmed with his women because the whole point of his operation was an entourage of pretty girls as eye candy. He wasnt in the business of funding this guys friendships and vacations. If you hired a guy to mow your lawn and he was swimming in your pool drinking and you fired him or sent him back to work would it be because your so jealous or because your a boss and he is your employee. The girls wernt getting that life style for nothing. They belonged to Hef and they agreed to it. Anyone could walk away from allllll that money if they wanted.
@lesliedemarco16916 ай бұрын
@@KingBrokenCode I disagree
@lalam38776 ай бұрын
I think the larger reason that Hef didn’t want Stephen giving the girls the attention that he saw him give. He enjoyed depriving the girls where he wanted. He didn’t want the girls getting their fill from some other guy. I think he saw that the girls were happy around Stephen and he didn’t like that. Holly and Stephen explain this in this episode. It makes sense. All the playmates he ever dated all say that about him. That he was extremely insecure and jealous.
@AymeeDonovan3 ай бұрын
@Bonafidegoldie I agree with you, he keeps saying the girls were his "friends" . They were his clients for a job ! He's got this all wrong, Hef wanted him to know his place . I don't think Hef is jealous either , he wanted him to be professional and know the boundaries.

Hef being so jealous of a gay makeup artist that he banned him from joining them on the excursions or doing makeup in their hotel room is ridiculous. He was such a creepy crazy old man. He was probably jealous he was too old to walk around with them all.

I mean let’s be honest, Steven is a conventionally good looking guy, and coupled with him being younger it’s no wonder Hef would feel some sort of way.
@ShindlersFiist6 ай бұрын
The girls have mentioned the ordeal a couple of times in the podcast and throughout the years. It's just unbelievable. Hef was convinced he wasn't gay and that it was all a ploy to sleep with the girls. 😆 I mean, come on!

It would be fun to see Holly do make up on one of her friends on her own KZbin channel. If you look back, she’s actually a very talented makeup artist. She was doing a lot of the tips and tricks years before they were even a thing and had names to them.

Ive been rewatching the show and have noticed that her moods are super erratic..knowing what we know now about her mental health struggles im wondering if that is what we are seeing in the early seasons. Holly or Bridget?
@bethika6436 ай бұрын
@heiroot I think they're talking about Kendra
@cleigh37966 ай бұрын
It's one thing to speculate about or comment on their mental state, like 'wow Kendra was really anxious before she gave that speech at Hef's birthday party', or 'Holly seemed annoyed at Kendra in this scene', that type of commentary is warranted and inevitable when someone is on TV, but your comment takes it a step further. It's quite a leap in logic to speculate about someone's mental health based on their behavior on a reality TV show. Like all reality TV shows, some scenes and dialogue on GND are scripted by the producers, the people on the show know they can't be being boring to watch so they have to sometimes exaggerate their reactions to things, and the show is edited to establish and sometimes fake a certain narrative. H&B have established all 3 things clearly and repeatedly on this podcast. I would say, and I think you would agree, that she has a pattern of seeming disinterested in being filmed, and she expresses annoyance and frustration in a louder way than others would in the same situation, but she seems happy again in what we are led to believe is quickly afterwards. I'm saying these things not to hate on her, but to say that yes, I understand how those things would lead to speculation. But watching the show isn't enough to base speculation about psychopathology affecting her emotional regulation, impulsivity, or something like that on. It wasn't like she was clearly hallucinating or started talking like she was having a stroke, situations where anyone could tell something was wrong (although those things wouldn't have been included in the show in the first place). I don't care for Kendra so I'm surprised to find myself defending her in a sense, but I just had to point out how baseless your theories are, even in light of her current struggles. Especially the speculation about withdrawal.

You two are fantastic and very authentic when speaking about your lives. I find it so odd that anyone in entertainment would think less of people who did Playboy. Playboy's pictorials are art. Very sensual, sexy, and high quality. It was not overt sex. Rather sensual, sexual, and of very high quality. When there is so much more sex in TV shows and movies, it is strange for anyone to judge those who did Playboy. Sure, the other aspects are concerning(issues raised at mansion), but not the work itself.

She does talk about this early on. I can’t remember her reasonings, but I think it was that she didn’t know there was a makeup artist and hairstylist on hand until much later but she was already doing her own hair and makeup by that point. She did begin to use the hairstylist after she learned about them eventually but continued to do her own makeup. Something like that.
