Sadie and Christian sit down with Freddie and Parker Amos, a couple they love doing life with, to talk all things relationships, dating, marriage, and friendship. Sadie and Christian bring up an argument they JUST had and what they've learned about healthy communication. Freddie and Sadie share advice on how to prepare your heart for a relationship, sin in marriage, jealousy, intentionality, and why comparing your husband to other men is such a dangerous path. Sadie also reveals what she thinks of the show "Love Is Blind" and why it serves as a cautionary tale about relationships. Friends, follow the way the Lord leads, and you will be blessed beyond belief.

I normally don’t comment on KZbin videos and I think it’s important to do so when necessary. I believe in marriage communication is key and so is tone you can’t assume your spouse knows the conversations that you’ve had with others and then unload on your spouse just because of the fact that they say the exact same thing or voice their concerns. My husband and I have been married 28 years and it’s very strong and it’s very godly and I believe communication and tone is at the core of our relationship along with having God being in the center of our marriage. The awkwardness of Christian and Sadie on this podcast was very revealing to the situation 20 minutes before this podcast happened. I believe that Christian needs to apologize to Sadie because unfairly he jumped on Sadie knowing the conversations that he had with his friends prior to. I can’t say that I know my husband‘s closet and the clothes that he wears and I can say if he joins an adventure is he going to be prepared for it so it is valuable to know how to be prepared for an event. This is some advice from an old married woman. Walking love, Forgive often and never take a moment for granted!

If Sadie remembered that men need to feel trusted, which I'm confident she already knows, then she would have considered how she presented the question so as to instill a sense of confidence in her husband. It's hard to remember though in a moment especially if one is busy. Maybe it's her who needs to apologize hypothetically speaking. If he blew her up, then yes he would be right to apologize so long as he's putting a plan in place to not blow up again, but to learn to communicate how her lack of trust makes him feel. Length of time in marriage ma'm, does not equal knowledge and wisdom.
@chandajordan_
@chandajordan_ 3 күн бұрын
@@jessejules2092I don’t think she said as if she didn’t trust him to be able to care for him and she was coming from a genuine place so she honestly wanted to ensure for his sake he was fully prepared because she cares. She also is human and there is no perfect communication, if he got upset he needs to apologize but explain why it made him feel annoyed or whatever he felt in the moment and then say I appreciate it you looking out for me and explain what all he has for the trip. The ladies want to take care of their men it’s natural for us to do so

I wanted advice from anyone who has it, and I love Sadie’s videos so seeing she just uploaded feels like the perfect time. I am young, and traveling in the word of God. I have learned so much about myself through our Lord and I am so so blessed to have that. However, I have no friends. I don’t have that comfort of a girl group or someone to lean on when times are tough. I crave human connection, but around me there is none.. especially with Christian people. It feels lonely and it brings me to tears some days. I know God has a plan, and I’m thinking in the moment, but I can’t lie and say it doesn’t physically hurt to know there isn’t anyone. I hope whoever sees this has a blessed day, and thank you so much for your content Sadie! I look up to you greatly

One thing I have learned is the path that God has for us can be lonely. It can feel like your completely alone but reminding myself that God is always with you and we walk with Jesus, helps me lean into the comfort of being alone. I know I’m not truly alone. trust me I felt the same way for the longest time. I was alone. I had no friends and nobody to talk to. I had pushed everyone away but since I am getting closer to God recently he put a really close friend of mine back into my life and she has helped me a lot. So my advice would be to trust God, have faith in his plan and lean on him.

The first chunk is perfect example ladies!! It is about tone and mannerisms when it comes to respecting our mans! It doesn't matter what you say majority of the time, it is the respect that is lacking behind the words! Making a facial expression- is correlated with disrespect and doubt to a man. We are supposed to be their biggest fan and biggest supporter- no matter what!!

Wow! 6 minutes in and I've learned so much about marriage! I believe Sadie wasn't trying to be offensive but for a man in general, it seems to me that they would like for their wife to ask questions in a way that is receiving and less direct. I guess it seems less offensive and direct that way. Although the intention wasn't to be offensive. It's like the woman is preparing to receive kind of like receiving a baby. Wow, thank you for opening up your lives, you both are so awesome, and I appreciate your transparency. 💛

Yea Christian should've apologized for taking out his frustration on her. She did absolutely nothing wrong, in fact she was being the helper that we as wives are called to be in the marriage. I'm astonished at how he still doesn't have the humility to see that. Because he was on the defensive like Sadie was saying, he contorted and misconstrued the question and the look she gave him. Which was out of concern, not out of disrespect for him..

You should definitely look at Psychology in Seattle. He is a LMFT who does reactions/commentary on shows like LIB or MAFS. I've never even watched LIB but he uses the show as jump off point to discuss dynamics, attachment, how to communicate, etc. Similar disclaimer you gave, he is NOT coming from a Christ-center/Biblically focused perspective but I do learn a lot. ( I don't agree with everything he says either)

Sadie’s husband is actually using correct etiquette. Think if you were writing an email to your attorney, when your writing your questions you never want to question your attorney’s competence, you assume they are 100% competent. He is right. I feel like people's opinions do not really matter as much because they are not in your situation and they don't understand what you are going through. God loves u all sm God bless any prayer requests or any questions? God sent his only son to die for u so live for Him (not trying to force) Gods got u and is in ur corner always, fighting for u, and the best way for u to fight is on your knees, praying. Start with journaling, prayer, worship, turn off bad music, verses, living like the fruit of the spirit each day. Nobody is perfect except Jesus. Its okay to make mistakes, we all do. Feel free to reach out nd talk for anything. ask God for wisdom in every situation. God loves u and so do i. Have a blessed day friend. Some of my fav verses: Matthew 19:26, John 3:16, Isaiah 30:21. Pick 1 fruit of the spirit today, and practice and live by it in all areas. Invite God into your life, every aspect and area. Trust the story because you know the author. Hi! Amen. Thank you so much for putting this out there and asking for prayer request. Could you pray for me? I'm trying to get through this season of my life and just tired and ready for it to be over. The Lord gave me promises and my life currently looks nothing like any of them but I know that it all will come to pass. God's not a man that He would lie, and He's so good that even if He does nothing else for me He's still great and worthy to be praised. One thing that I'm seeing is that no matter what happens each day, God's the same which means no matter how good or bad the day went, I know that He's here with me and wants me to keep coming to Him. That's where I get peace, joy, safety, and strength to take another step and not collapse, which is what I've wanted to do at times. I guess I'm mainly asking for prayer for strength in this season, it's not easy, and there are a lot of times I wish I could escape to a beach in Florida all by myself for a little bit just to get a break from it all. So ya that's my prayer request. Thank you so much in advance. Is there anything I can pray and intercede with you about?
