Spot on. A few years ago, I met Senator Alex Padilla at the Carpenter's "Moose Feed" in San Francisco and voiced my concern over what was happening to our deer herds in the Sierra Nevada and the Warner Mountains. He just smiled at me and said, "California is the environmental model for the rest of the country. As California does, so will the rest of the Nation." I will never forget his arrogance and what that SOB said.

We've got a serious wolf problem in the NWT, in Canada as well. Our wolves are HUGE. They love the moose and barrenground caribou. We had a Bathurst Herd population that numbered anywhere from 250k-400k animals in the early-mid 90's. They would come right into the capital right near our airport, you could hunt them 20 mins out of town. I believe the last survey done on the herd in 2022 yielded 8k. We don't even have to pay for wolf tags anymore. Any resident hunter(non indigenous) can just ask for as many tags as you want. You bring in a carcass and it's $200 in your pocket. In the caribou wintering zone, it's even more if you give them GPS coordinates for the killsite. A GHL holder( general hunting license aka trapping license which you can't get unless you're indigenous or were grandfathered in before they changed the regs) gets these carcases, processes the fur, and with a prime fur bonus can receive up to $1600 for a pelt at auction. They like to use the numerous trails in the winter, catch scent and go kill whatever it was, laze around for a bit then continue on the trail til they catch wind of another ungulate, and repeat the process. Not enough people hunt them around here, and they're VERY difficult to trap.

The same phenomenon has happened in Minnesota. We had a Moose population of about 8000 of the magnificent animals in Northern Minnesota. The wolfs have decimated the population to the point of no return, a dying population. The WOKE Minnesota Game and Fish claim the loss is due to insect infestation, however studies reveal 60percent of the Moose are killed by Wolves…….

Randy it looks to me if there are no moose, deer, sheep and elk to hunt then maybe we should start hunting wolves and bears!!! Sounds like to me we need to bring the bounty back on wolves. It would provide incoming to some hunters and hopefully bring back our big game populations. I always wanted to go out West on a big game hunt. That's why I find this wolf problem so discouraging. I realize I am so lucky to still have game to hunt in Alabama. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Before you guys call this a " rant" or " just some old man shaking his fist at the sun" know this. He just spoke pure truth. And whether randy is saying this or not, it is true. Remember when the .gov destroyed the buffalo population to route the indians off there land? History is repeating itself. Actions speak louder than words. There has been zero management of game anywhere in the usa, but a management of your right to go and lawfully hunt, following regulations....... is the only thing they manage. I do not agree with the age ism talk randy Many of the problems in MI stem from old school thought, and good old boys club. When the generatiomal shift finally happens, I hope this will change. There are brite competant sportsmen across the legal age range of hunters who can manage game much better than those " INSTALLED" to the position. Good talk, keep up the good work!

God love ya Randy !!! We here in the liberal bastion of Colorado are facing the same BS from our lovely GOVENOR and his handpicked DOW. We are supposed to embrace the introduction of WOLVES to our lands and not notice the great decline in our deer and elk herds. No otc deer tags and almost all elk tags are by drawing also. Guy's are getting frustrated. I have not been ask by a hunter to hunt my land for fifteen years , even though it backs up to thousands of acres of public land. The hunters drive by in the winter and see my pastures empty of game and they realise that the population is not worth hunting. I have 12 does in my yard and ONE fawn. But I have well fed coyotes and cats. The canyons hide the cats well and There is almost no one that hunts them anymore. But I can't trap them either. How do we get the DOW to listen to good old common sense????

We have had good numbers of good sized whitetail in Illinois since the 90s. I live in southern Illinois where there isnt that much ag but whitetail thrived. All the big farms have been split into tiny properties since then but numbers and size have held up until lately. EHD has killed many deer now. Loss of habitat is a big deal but in Illinois, there is no major predator and the deer are accustomed to people and homes. Many people see trophy sized bucks in their own yards. The auto and ag INSURANCE agencies now control our deer quotas. Its unbearable. Now we are moving towards hunter opportunity instead of herd quality improvement. Now if you can kill a doe or spike buck, its good enough. They recently passed protections for wolves, black bear, and mountain lions. We dont have any of them except for a very rare sighting of a mountain lion in southern Illinois. They plan to release wolves and bears soon. Its unbelievable!

Wolves were introduced into the Idaho Chamberlain Basin and the Cold Meadows Area. Inorder to hunt this area you have to fly in, it is the remotest area in the lower 48 States. The wolves have almost completely destroyed the Big Game hunting, the odds of finding a mature animal is extremely low. I used to hunt the area in the 1990s and saw the destruction of opportunity closeup and over time. These wolves were destroyed years ago for a reason. Anybody thinking we can restore nature to the early 1800s is a fool. There is just not the habitat to establish an Equilibrium, with man footprints all over. The only way to manage game populations is through controlled license sales.

Randy, I couldn't agree more. The wolf is a menace and has destroyed the moose, elk and deer population in your neck of the woods. They grizzly are so over populated it is ridiculous. Both are apex predators and need to be controlled. Sadly that will never happen. Personally I'd give up on Wyo if I wasn't sitting on a pile of points. As soon as those points are gone, I am giving up on Wyo hunting. Between the 50% tag reduction to us NRs and the tag/point price increase coupled with the reduced amount of game, it's just not worth it. But F&G, not just Wyoming, no longer manages for game, they manage for their budget, payroll and pension. I can't see that situation changing in my lifetime. Remember back in the day when game departments managed for Game. One of the key ways they did that was by controlling predators. The other was matching the tag allotments to the game population, recruitment rate and buck/bull ratio. Now they manage for the grow of predator population and budgets. Raise the price of tags and the number of tags to match the budget needs. Absolutely no regard for whether or not the herd dynamics can aline with those tag numbers. I've even advised family and friends to nolonger apply for some tags. They'd have to live to 150 or 160 to get drawn. Such a sad state of affairs that our Fish and Game departments have become. Don't even get me started on the stupidity of Colorado putting wolf reintroduction to the voters. A bunch of Denver/Ft. Collins/Colo Springs dope smokers deciding to destroy the greatest Shiras moose populations and the greatest Elk population. But where were all the self-serving "conservation" organizations, that most of belong too? They were MIA or preaching to the choir. Even those ego driven organizations have been polluted by the tree huggers and bunny lovers. All the best to you and Kathy in 2025. Keep the videos coming. Cheers, Jeff

A single Mountain Lion kills up to 70 deer a year and they don't buy tags. They are almost completely nocturnal and we can't hunt past sundown. We are allowed to doctor and provide feed to our winter stressed domestic animals, but not "OUR migrating Wildlife" during severe winters. As you say "Common sense is not common among so called wildlife biologist."

We had commercial hunting in the early 1900’s and the game herds were almost decimated by hunters for profit. I’m afraid that the commercialization of sport hunting will do the same to our game species again. Plus the administrative controllers are politically motivated to keep the herds small to prevent car/deer accidents.

Same thing happened here in New Mexico. In the 60's and 70's we had lot's of deer. In those days we only had black bear, coyotes, and lions to worry about, but they managed those. No longer. Then they imported Mexican wolves. Today we have between 150 and 200 wolves or maybe more. Each lion probably kills a deer a week or more. I used to get a nice buck every year but now if I see a handful over 5-6 days, that'd be about average. Hardly worth hunting anymore. Our left wing governors always put anti-gun/hunting people in charge of our game departments and that's where the problem starts. Same at the federal level. But until people start paying attention at the voting booth it will only get worse. Governors should not be allowed to appoint top game officials. They should be voted in just like any other office in each state. Then you wouldn't have this problem. Same at the federal level. Unless sportsmen rise up, it will never change. Sadly, today's young hunters will likely never know how good it used to be, and it's not due to loss of habitat either.

They said we have to kill as many deer as possible or CWD will get worse!!! We still have antler restrictions in the CWD zones!!! Somebody from the PA game commission needs to notify the science community that whitetail bucks with antlers that have less than three points on a side will NOT have CWD!!! This is all BS and agenda driven by the federal and state agencies!!! The government has something up their sleeve and it isn't going to be good for the american people!!! So, predators were extirpated from most ecosystems to serve man's interests, but we then realized there were many benefits to those predators that were lost. You won't want to hear about those things, because you want to see more game animals than the habitat can support, and aren't willing to share any of those game animals with the natural predators which belong in that ecosystem. Now, I will say that those predator numbers should be controlled, but they have their place in our wild lands. Without them, those lands actually suffer. Just look at the riparian areas along the rivers in Yellowstone.

1 Timothy 4:3 comes to mind. We are living in the last days. Gods word says these things will happen. We are going to have to continue to stand up for what is right and just. But these things as unsettling as they are will continue. I firmly believe that our Lord and Savior is coming in my generation. I know that there has been world wars, great atrocities, and famine before. What hasn’t happened before now is all the other signs. The prophecy of the Euphrates drying up. Fresh water around and now flowing into the Dead Sea with fish! Damascus falling. The Revelation 12 sign happened in 2023. The last 2 eclipse paths went through and overlapped multiple cities named after Biblical events. Ohh and according to Matthew 24:34 the generation that witnessed May of 1948, Israel becoming a recognized nation again and her people returning, will not pass before Christ returns! ❤✝️😊

We hear from people from all over US and other countries and it is the same. If we don't talk their agenda, shut up! :( Thanks for watching.

@@michaelheller804come on now, neither does Randy. Looks like an experienced gunsmith, outdoorsman, reloader that I'd enjoy having a cup of coffee with.

Wolves do hunt and will kill Grizzlies. Ship a few wolves to Texas to handle the wild pig problems.

I was waiting for the elk situation to come up. Again Wyoming had an unlimited elk hunt this year. They asked anyone who wanted to to come shot an elk. I watched 2000 elk run up a mountain after a shot in Oregon, Idaho and montana are the same a heard of 5,000 live an hour from me. 😂 Randy: there is no animals left. Me: stop standing on the side of the road!

You’re obviously not a hunter and obviously on the other side of what’s good. One day you will reap what you’ve sawed

It’s a shame Randy I feel you’re pain but in a different way. Here in Kentucky all land is leased for whitetail to people from out of state. Try hunting on a wildlife management area.
