Our BIG sister Lily Update - X Ray Appointment

Big sister Lily had her appointment at the vet yesterday for an X-ray to see what is going on with her legs, hips and back.
It’s good and bad news. Not what we were expecting. Poor Lily is not a fan of the vet at all and so Luke was called back to muzzle her and sit with her until she was sedated. Vets are very cautious and understandably so.
Lily will be off to the specialist next.

I used to take care of a female german shepherd for an old couple. I would take her for walks, feed her, play with her using the hose in the front yard. she had this obsession with chasing the stream of water that came out. every time I came over she would run directly to the hose and bark at it. unfortunately she had hip problems so I couldn't take her very for long walks, but we always had a good time together. she was such a sweet dog and so expressive too. her name was Gabby

This was actually a great video for us because my daughter's rescue dog tore a pad playing and had the same reaction to a vet visit and she felt sooo guilty. Can happen to the best. Love Wolfie , Mr. Independent back there. He is getting to the handful stage. Also love your pickup sign on your visor. Have had a few of them over the years. Life gets busy, but it's all worth it 👍🤸

Really glad no hip dysplasia. Sounds like what she has is manageable and she will be able to dance with many more sticks. Hoping the spine issue turns out to be manageable too. Luke I love how calm you can get her at the vet. Sam-You are so wonderful to make her a big plate of chicken just for her. Thankful Lily’s not in any pain. A visit to an oncologist for Faith and an x-ray at the vet for Lily all in the same day. The vet bills must be huge.

When you go to their website, at the bottom of their homepage is a PO Box address that you can send fan mail and gifts too. I know exactly how you feel about gifts. It’s such a joy to see all the gifts being opened and the reaction of Sam, Luke and the dogs, isn’t it? Another source of revenue is the ads they get from their videos. But they only get paid for ads that run in full. So everyday, when I’m not using my phone/computer, I go back to some of their previous videos and just let them run, with all the ads, in the background while I work. It may not be as much but every little bit helps.

@@guineverebachelor6089 thank you so much for all your help I am so excited now I can go shopping for the dog's I wanted to do it before but I didn't know how to send it in thank you so much for everything and that is a great idea thank you I will go back and watch Old videos too and just let them play out with ads on too u are right every little bit helps , they don't get anything like they used to since puppy day care is closed now but I understand that they feel like dog's needs help which is a very sweet thing that are doing to help they sure do have heart's of gold and u know what is so funny to me I am falling in love with dog's that I never had a chance to meet in person but they post videos so often that I am getting to learn all thier personalities I love all the day care dogs but Bandit and Gilbert the hat thief and little Betty she sure is a doll baby I just adore that little nugget, it's really nice that they still can go to the farm and have fun and they can still spend nights and enjoy holidays at the farm, I worry about Luke and Sam some times I worry that they don't get enough rest they do get up really early in the morning and they do all the activities and feed all the dogs and run around to the vets and to the City to pick up dog's and then back to the city to drop them off back home and all that cooking too I don't know how they do it all , and house work and 3 little one's I hope that they take time out to get rest they have to be tired I know I would be exhausted it makes me tired just thinking about everything they do plus training dogs on top of that and taking care of the farm and making sure all the dogs have thier daily meds , I'm so glad that they have a great team who is helping them

I’m so glad Lily’s hips are okay. It’s too bad about her tendon condition, but I’m relieved that is is painless and not limiting her. I hope her spine issue will turn out to be okay too. Too bad barking didn’t work for her this time around. At least she got lots of chicken after she got home, surely that makes up for it. I’m glad she can keep doing her famous stick dances! 😊

Aaww poor Lilly, she looks scared and worried. No chicken, but chicken afterwards at home maybe? Surprised its not painful would have expected it to be especially as she limps with it. Also I think when it is more acute the hardened area in the muscle may represent fibrosis and ossification. I love Lily, that face and floppy ear, she is all bark and no bite!

What an emotional day for Luke. TWO vet visits in one day - 3 including collection. Yes both dogs get worried, but they don't understand what's going on, the bigger toll is on the human who does - I don't care how stoic you are we hardly ever go the vet for good reasons so it's always a worry. So well done Luke. I'm pleased Lily doesn't have hip dysplasia and she eventually got some chicken! : )

Watching her walk around, compared to the pups she’s always looked sort of like her hind legs were shorter than the front, I wondered if it was just a result of her genetics and was so from birth. I'm surprised there aren't exercises to help strengthen the leg muscles and elongate/stretch the affected tendon. Maybe it's the problems in her back that have brought on the change in her leg. I guess we'll find out with time.

Oh poor Lily. She thought she was getting chickens and she got the snoot cage. Hmph... I hope her spine isn't causing her pain. I have disk degenerative disease and sometimes it hurts like crazy. She's in better shape than me though, and very active. I've gotten a little flabby in the middle, and eat ice cream for dinner way too often, which doesn't help 🤣 Paws crossed its nothing too terrible for her. She doesn't seem to be bothered by any of it, if the stick dances are any indication 🤭😁

Oh she is so beautiful. Our Ruby has arthritis in her knees. She gets an injection every 10 weeks for and it seems to be helping her a lot. Glad lily is doing so well
