I used to think my Dad was a genius. He could do anything. Then I grew up. I'm a senior citizen now and he's been gone for many years. And what I learned along the way is that he wasn't a genius. He was just someone who wasn't afraid to try. He wasn't afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. He could do plumbing, electrical, carpentry, work on his own vehicles and tools. He was self-taught and he learned along the way. I applaud your courage to try, and I think you did a pretty good job. Take the win!

Well, I'm still calling it a success! Your video included all the key ingredients - sunshine, laughter and spending time with Brent. And in the end you had 3 completed cages/trellises that do look nice. Mathemagician or not, I'm still impressed 👍👍

OMG that was so much fun! And I learned a new word! Too many people are too serious and you guys just put life into total perspective with your ability to laugh at yourselves and keep on figuring it out when something goes wrong. You provided a laugh out loud experience for every one of us as we "saw ourselves" in today's project! I must admit I wondered if tomatoes grow to almost 6', not being a tomato gardener, and was pleasantly surprised to see how tall that tomato is already, once the "cage" was put in place. Thanks for making our Sunday!

We’re supposed to be in the 90’s all week here in SW Michigan, while that’s probably not hot for you we get humidity with our heat 🥵 and it makes it ALMOST unbearable . I’m going to have to keep an eagle eye on my new garden, we haven’t had ANY decent rain for WEEKS . Thank you Lord I got it all mulched before the heat hit. Well almost all of it about a quarter more to go but it still needs work before I can lay down mulch and not much is planted in that area. Hopefully I can keep things hydrated 🤞🏻. I’m picking up a hibiscus I had on order from Garden Crossings tomorrow, hopefully I don’t find anything else but if I do I can justify it, it’s our 52nd wedding Anniversary tomorrow so who knows 🤭💐💚🙃

Tomatoes can grow into huge bushes. Any size cage you and Brent can make, at a non-expert level, is absolutely perfect. It's better than not having any cages at all. Besides, practice makes perfect. Even though they don't have to be. I would use your cages for other fruit producing vines. It's a win Robbie.
