Hi Robbie! I can't imagine being out in 118° weather. I don't blame you and Brent for staying in when it's so hot. Out temps are going to be in the 100's from tomorrow through at least Sunday, with the hottest day being 108°. I can't take the heat, either. It always makes my day watching your videos! You're always so happy, and that makes me happy, too. This was another fun Q&A! Thank you so much for sharing!

I wonder how Color Blends would feel about someone digging up their bulbs and saving them in a root celar to replant this fall as opposed to buying new bulbs to plant in the fall/spring.

Your garden looks great. Mine is having a difficult time in this heat we are having. My front yard is on the west side . We planted three trees there still small . The plants are trying to adapt to the heat.

Robbie and Brent, remember to THROW AWAY the Limelight starts. It will be easy to forget to toss them and later give us an update on the plant progress! That will create a legal problem. Love the channel.

Hey! Don’t worry, Lime Light is not under a patent so it’s free to propagate as of a few years ago. No legal problems with propagating that plant 🌱

That’s not that I said. But if that’s the analogy you want to use, if you were to buy a CD and burn copies of it that’s Illegal even thought you bought the CD. You’re more than welcome to pick the flowers, enjoy the flowers, Look at the flowers, recommend the flowers to somebody else. But dividing patented plants is illegal. Propagating patented plants is illegal. Plants have a patent on them and patents run out after certain amount of years. After that patent runs out propagate the plant all you want.

I brought all of my potted plant indoors until temps are not so hot. They are either by windows or under grow lights and doing just fine until they can go back out. I only left the potted hibiscus outside and water frequently and she's doing good .

My lemon coral sedum pops up everywhere in my garden. I’ve learned that by just dropping a stem it will root in. Is that considered propagation? I’m not intentionally doing it, but I’m not angry it’s happening.

Note on the mosquito larva; your local county Mosquito and Vector Control agency will gladly help you deal with this, it's their job and they work with the community to help. Where I'm at they will come to your yard and provide rice fish or mosquito fish for your water feature as well as talk and walk your property. Those fish CAN NOT be released into natural water ways for the same reason the fish themselves feel like they can not suffer a mosquito larva to live. Aggressively voracious tiny psychopathic mass murderers. Vector control uses these fish because they are super hardy, eat everything, breed anywhere, can gulp air from the surface, and can survive in lots of water temps from some surface ice in the cold months to warm water in the hot months. You can also find rice fish with really beautiful coloring on their backs, don't mix colors or they will breed to a gray/clear/black. When kept as pets they are meant to be viewed from the top not the side. If you want the pretty ones do some research as my knowledge is anecdotal, you can try looking for Japanese rice fish to start, some rare colors are spendy though. That said, the fish will get eaten by birds in a bird bath or shallow waters with no hiding places. Also keeping the water surface moving does prevent mosquitos from laying their eggs. If you have concerns talk to your local Mosquito and Vector Control agency, they can help/advise with rats and other pests too!

The patented plant topic will always have differing opinions. For PW to say don't divide their plants is really weird... most perenniels need to be divided every 3-5 years for them to continue to thrive. Also, if PW doesn't make available certain plants that people want, then that's on them. There are certain varieties that you just cannot get your hands on. If people want to divide plants in their own yard, that's no one's business! If you try to resell them, that is where the law will come in.

I don’t think he said PW said don’t divide plants, in fact at around the 3:50 mark he stated PW knows some plants need to be divided.

People are allowed to do whatever they want with the plants they have in their garden. For example, nobody goes to jail for killing a plant in the garden.😂🥀

Maybe it was on sale because it was an oops load I’m not sure but oh boy big chunks of wood, moldy ect….but for Scots to label it a premium mulch ? 🌺💚🙃

Robbie, Have you considered a large multi trunk tree for Grandma's front garden? Easy enough for a professional tree company to install from the street and will give Grandma shade and her home, street appeal. I understand this may have to be a gift from you - a special video? Do a screenshot with various trees and see what Grandma thinks.
