Hellooo!! Welcome back to my channel. For this week's episode, I share with you one of my favorite videos I've ever made, Our birth vlog of our second baby boy. I was nervous about what protocols would be for labor and delivery in 2021 but I have to be honest we had a great experience and the staff at our hospital were INCREDIBLE!! I tried to share a raw and real vlog capturing everything from the laughs we shared to the extremely painful contractions. The one thing I was most excited for about giving birth was the moment they’d lay my baby on me and I’d get to hear that first cry. Because of my emergency c section, I didn’t get that. Watching this video and the moment you gave birth to this little boy and all the emotion you had, made me instantly bawl. I felt like it’s exactly what I would’ve felt, and it was beautiful. ❤️ so incredibly happy for you guys.

Epidurals are dangerous, they kill mothers and babies every single day and are the primary cause of complication in labor. Babies deserve better than to be born on fentanyl because their mothers couldn't handle a normal bodily function.

I absolutely had some anxious moments during both of my births and those moments you don't always want a camera in your face. When I got my epidural and they had to redo it I was freaking out. But thankfully that was the worst of it. Have you given birth yet? How did it go? If not i pray for a safe and healthy birth for you.

I am 37 weeks pregnant with our first baby and completely terrified for labor and delivery. Watching your video brought me peace and joy that birth should not be a scary thing. My first labor with my son Grayson I totally had moments of yelling and unbelievable pain but I knew what to expect this time around and I feel that’s why I was so positive and calm. The contractions I had before my epidural were STRONG but I made sure to breath through them but I was definitely shaking and had a few tears. I wasn’t filming because the anesthesiologist was in the room.

Can someone explain why someone would have to take pitocin instead of waiting for natural labor to come at its own time?

It starts contractions if you aren't in labor on your own. After 38 weeks it becomes extremely uncomfortable to be pregnant and some women ( like myself) choose to have elective inductions to bring their babies into the world sooner!

Mine didn't slow down once I got an epidural. The baby came a CPL hours later. I was on pitocin the entire time I wanted my baby out.

I absolutely hate being numb. I have a condition called hemoplegic migraines that makes half my body go completely numb every few months or so for a few hours to a day...and so I had my baby without an epidural because if I can do anything to NOT feel numb, I will. :) everyone has their reasons.
