After leaving another beautiful campsite we ran into trouble with our brakes. Probably the number one thing you don't want happening is your brakes failing, things could have gone very wrong. Thankfully we found a mechanic and waited for the afternoon to get it fixed. Later that night, our storage box got hit on a slope and Louis spent the evening welding it back together. The adventure never ends!

There's a Japanese technique called Kintsugi. It's mending broken pottery/ceramics with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. It's built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections. Her mug might be broken now, but she can give it a new story or make this apart of the narrative/ journey. I love the concept, it's kind of beautiful.

Just wanted to share something I realized you guys helped me with recently. My partner has been sick for the past three weeks or so, and I sadly can’t do much to help him get better, we just have to wait at this point. I have been cooking our meals and keeping our place clean, but was still feeling really helpless for a while, like I should be doing more. But watching this made me realize that’s what relationships are for, and sometimes as a partner the most helpful thing you can do is cook a meal. Although Raya couldn’t take on a welding job on the bus (or maybe you could!), she could make sure Louis had a nice home-cooked meal to eat once he was finished, and that can be just as helpful. Thanks for helping me see the importance in being a true team 💕

I love how real you guys keep your videos. A lot of van life vloggers and travelers in general really romanticize the experience, which Is great to watch but I love seeing the everyday maintenance the bus needs and the struggles that come with traveling in another country. As well as seeing how you two handle it together, you certainly have some tough moments but you always push through and persevere!

I hope they didn't have to throw Raya's favourite cup away! When I break any sort of bowl or cup I usually try to glue it back together as much as I can and give it a new life as small planter. 🌱

as a potter myself, be mindful of gluing the mug to drink out of. The glue can break down with hot liquids and cause the mend to fail and could cause a bad burn. Even glue that is labeled for ceramics would break down with use. If the mug has personal meaning it may be best to glue it to hold pens or scrunchies etc. It's always so sad when a favourite mug bites the dust.

Aw thank you! It’s totally fine ☺️ we just learned that the magnets on those doors are not strong enough to withstand the cobbled roads haha. Luckily all of our other plates and mugs are not easy to break. It’s all an adventure!

Use kids safety latches instead of bungees. They have them for fridges, cabinets, drawers, etc.

You should look for push lock type door knobs like those fitted to caravans. They would stop your doors flying open while driving.

it's called a brake pot and you should always carry a spare diaphragm, they're easy to change but wear out often

Dear Louis, You a most likely aware now that component was an Air spring Brake actuator it’s quite common for them to leak they have a very powerful spring in them that when you lose sufficient air pressure that pressure can no longer compress that large spring and then the brake are applied and you stop good safety measure brakes will always fail safe bad news your stuck

Louis, maybe you can wear a lav mic on the bus? There's quite a lot of background noise when you drive and it's unpleasant to watch/listen. Something you could try out for an episode and see if there's a significant difference in quality? Perhaps it's because you use the Sony camera without a mic too, there's a big difference in sound when ppl use a mic :) Loving the vids otherwise!
