Hi, as a 3yr survivor of bowel cancer, Neutropenic sepsis during chemo, pneumonia I know what experience you went through, a year previous I lost my dad to what you had, my mom at the same time. Going through it alone, no close family, just recently bought a house, I found my neighbours were brilliant. My consultants, chemo staff were brilliant, not just physically but looking after my mental welfare. This will be the first Christmas I won’t be able to visit and drop off chocolates, biscuits, card. It does make you think about life, what’s important, and what isn’t. Enjoy your lives, you are inspiration to others, all my love. 😍

Woah Ian, you've overcome SO so much... I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum and Dad.. that must have been heartbreaking 😔 But YOU did it.. and bloody nora did you go through a lot to get to where you are now.. Major congratulations on the house! (and yay for the great neighbours!) Please send me your address as i'd like to send you something for Christmas. (you can email me at kingingit100@gmail.com) I think you need to write a book, and send it to me for Christmas. Your story sounds incredibly brave and courageous and we can both call ourselves rockstars x

Being more than twice your age, I have lost more friends than I wish to count to cancer. Even as I write this one is terminally ill; one, hopefully is fighting a winning battle; and the youngest (17) has lost a leg, but she is made of the same stuff you are and is living life to the fullest. I'm writing this through tears, but am inspired by your strength and zest for life. May you celebrate many more 10th of the 10.

You got me proper teared up. I used to say "I hate getting old, wrinky and aching". Then my sister in law died of cancer, she was 31 years old. She converted a bus to travel with when she heared she wouldn't get better, thinking she would have a bit more time. Within a week of her travel she got atmitted to the hospital and wasn't able to travel again, 1 month later she passed away. I'm scared as hell me wife will get sick too (luckily she gets regular checks), everyday is a gift for us. We are in our second lifes now. It's the best! You will never again hear me complain about getting old. You rock girl! You make our lives a bit brighter. I'd love to give you a puppyhug (it's a hug that makes you want to wiggle your tail) Maybe some day, when we're able to travel again. Our trip to Lake District got cancelled last year, but we will come to England again. I love your country!

You probably wont see this as it's a really old Video, but i'll leave it anyway. I only came across your videos a wee while ago when you bought your cottage in Scotland (being Scottish myself and loves a project) and have enjoyed learning about your back story a bit, and have came across this. I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma when I was 39 (4yrs ago) so I understand completely what you've been through. You absolutely deserve to be here, the joy you bring to people through your channel, your smile, the life that you lead, all of it.. I'm introverted, not a people person really, and constantly feel I should be living a better life, when other people haven't got that second chance I have. I find it difficult in truth and if anything, hopefully something will rub off on me from your love of life through your videos. All the questions you ask yourself, let it be known you're not the only 1, and it's okay....that's all you need to know, it's okay! Keep doing you, and you both have brightened up my day watching your videos.

This was lovely to watch today, and seeing someone who is continuing to be a badass and live like my Grandma did, makes that loss a little easier to bear. No apologies, full of love, laughter and adventure. Never feel bad about beating cancer and sticking around. After losing someone so very dear to me to a terrible sickness, it unbelievably amazing to see someone beat it and spread joy and happiness in the wake of it. I hope to meet you one day Aimee! I am so happy you celebrate every year! It is 1000000% deserving and worth it! My grandmother had cervical cancer and beat it with radiation and then developed bladder cancer almost 20 years later and with a procedure, they removed it. However 2 years later, complications from the procedure made her go septic and she passed in July of 2020. However I am still so thankful I had another 20 years with her, I truly needed her. I miss her everyday but never ever cease to be thankful for the bonus 20 years and being old enough to be her caregiver in the end. So being close to someone with cancer, I say every day is worth celebrating but the annual traditions of living life to the fullest on that day is absolutely beautiful way to take advantage of the second life you received! To think you are going to be 15 years this year is incredible! Cheers.

At 46 years old, I was diagnosed with Kidney cancer on 10th December 2014. None of the "usual" signs or symptoms, just resisitive high blood pressure. After numerous tests, it was an ultrasound scan that found a 3cm x 3cm lump on my right kidney. They eventually removed the lump the following March and found it was an agressive stage 3 - there's only 4 stages with kidney cancer. Thankfully it was caught early - No chemo or radiation treatment needed but apparently neither work well on Kidney cancer. I was clear for almost 3 years and it came back. Same kidney, same agressive cancer so they took the whole kidney this time in May 2018. Recently had the all clear again so far and keeping my fingers crossed. Litterally have a melt down the same time ever year whenever my CT scan is due and until the result comes back. I still find it hard to talk about it. I will if asked, but not too openly. You're a real inspiration and glad to see you're still smiling. ❤️

I just turned 52. 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with late stage ,inoperable lung cancer. I went through chemo, radiation and a year of immunotherapy infusions. My last scan showed that the cancer has spread to more lymph nodes. The doctor said they'll keep an eye on it. I go for another scan in April. Each day is a blessing. No matter how badly I feel, I know that any day above ground is a good one. I'd love to go back in time pre-cancer and do more of the things I enjoy. I miss hiking the nature trails, shelling on the beach, gardening, traveling, etc... I know my time is limited, so I cherish each moment I have.

Yes, I wept. Thank you for your courage and honesty. I live with other stuff. "We'll get you to 50yrs my consultant said." I am 56 in 3 weeks time. I too think of those who have held my heart and stepped beyond the fleshy adventure. Those whom I miss. Just as you said "Never be guilty for having cancer." I could hear those I have lost, the significant ones, the beloveds. I could hear each one say "never be guilty for having life. Live it." I say to them, as I say to you. Namaste.

I admire your "get up and go" doing things you want to do, being so young I truly wish you both a happy life. I recently lost my wife of 34yrs and the pain is unfathomable at this time, what I'm trying to say live life to the full without regret. Honestly there is no right or wrongs in the way, relax and just be kind and considerate because you never know what behind that smile. Love the video's you always make me smile

thank you captain b. i have invisible illnesses that *probably* wont' kill me but have taken my whole life away over a few years. i've become housebound, frequently bedridden and rarely have the functional energy to even speak or listen to my loved ones on the phone and never in person. it's a very quiet bubble, a very tiny life, where a good day is being able to prepare or eat food. it's been hard adjustment from an active full life and i've learned to find the joy and new life no matter how tiny, and vast appreciation for things i wouldn't have even seen before. i LOVE seeing you out truly living your life and ruling your own world because you know how precious it is. i live vicariously through your adventures and brilliant fashions and your lovely sense of humour. xoxo from my tiny bubble in hawaii

Hello, I just received a news from my Oncologist, that my PET Scan indicated all clear of Cancer. For a few days, I was not able to clear my mind, just what it all meant to me, as it has been a traumatic four months from surgery to Chemotherapy. After watching your video, I realized that it's alright to celebrate the day. It's so good to allow your emotions to come through, and embrace your truth self. Many thanks for sharing, it's empowering.

Aww Capt. B! I felt this in my heart so much. My fave person in the world is my Oma and she had stage 4 breast cancer. When we got the call that the cancer left her body 15 years ago, I was the most joyful I have ever been. She is 85 and my dance partner for Oktoberfest. Just know that you're not alone in that feeling and you are Oma-level inspiring! All love, girl! Keep on kinging it!

You both are an inspiration as to why and how to live life! I almost died... they thought it was cancer, but it was not.... but the infection almost got me... I'm now 60+ and dont have kids and my parents dont understand why I live each day without planing for my future. They want me to save money so I have it when I get old... I sure dont want to be old and not have done the things I have. Watching you two helps to confirm that I am living my life for me. I want to travel more and will when COVID settles down and it will. You have taken me to places I find interesting, but will not venture to, but you have also gone to places that are now on my bucket list. You expand my my vision of places to go and dreams to take on. And I thank you for that!! Thank for taking me along in you dreams!

Hi Aimee, first let me just say you are amazing. You are one of life's energy givers, you make so many people smile. My son will be 37 at the end of this month. The day before his first birthday he was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma with a 25% chance of survival. Today he is like you, he lives life to the fullest doing everything from ninja warrior to rock climbing. You are a beacon of hope to everyone going through a horrible time. I love watching your fab channel you are both so funny. Sending big hugs and love. I was crying with you watching this.xxxxx

My friend went through the same, back in 2005. She lost her hair, and was on the chemo for best part of the year. I think she was given the all clear at the start of 2006. In 2012, my friend had a baby daughter. I always ask how she is every time i see her, and i think she is the strongest person i ever met, just like you are, to beat this horrid disease. But sadly though her mother was diagnosed with the same cancer, but sadly lost her fight. But that was down to the doctors not checking to see if it had spread, until it was too late. Anyone who is fighting it, keep fighting and stay strong. If you know anyone who is fighting it, spend as much time with them! Life's too short.
