Element of luck in all Pies close wins. Melbourne missing easy shots when they were up by 4 goals, as did Carlton, against Essendon, Essendon’s miss by Jones as well as their inability to set up defensively for the kick in allowed Pies to win, not because Collingwood are world beaters. North Melbourne also had them on toast but couldn’t convert.. Just like North in 07, entered top 4 with percentage of less than 110. Geelong will smack them and give them a serious reality check.
