Christmas trees are about the excitement of selection, watching them being cut down, transporting them into your space and then the explosion of memories you put on them in the form of ornaments you've collected through the years. Not to mention the new ornaments you add each year! The lights, the family memories and the ushering in of the season of Jesus' birthday. I think it's a beautiful tree!😊

Hi Missy and family, I am a fairly new subscriber and am enjoying watching your family. I have family in NE PA and am from Michigan. I moved to Tennessee 10 years ago. When you are out thrifting, look for branches of greenery or holly berries. That’s what the do down here to fill in the bare spots. The look on your husbands face after putting the angel on made me crack me up. I think the tree is beautiful!

Sister,i say this: yes there was no rain,and tempertures cold and wind,But the joy of you and your family picking it out,and the waiting for this day,was not in vain.I think it is beautiful,no matter if expectations weren't the way it looked at first.The love and humor of seeing it for what it is,makes it even more to be adored.So many can not even afford a real tree,or so many hearts have grown cold not to even celebrate Christ let alone Christmas.You also are a wonderful crafter,and when it was finished decorating it,it is as you have made a rustic,ever needing love in the forest tree.I love it,because it is decorated with you and your familys hearts.The most prettiest is always one that is not another cookie cut out!Water it with love sister!Bless your family always!

It's a little sparse but lots of space for ornaments. Go ornament thrifting! Great fun. No matter they all seem to look beautiful in the end. If you get ornament hangers you could hang ornaments close to the trunk to fill out.

My parents have had some doozy of some trees . I'll never forget one time my grandma was sleeping over . They all got up before me . I heard screaming and shot up ran down the stairs the whole tree came down on my mom and grandma . Many years before that we started getting first real tree my grandfather got the most shortest tree we ever seen . Real trees are a roll of dice for sure . They always seem to come with funny stories 😂!

Real Christmas trees are a year by year learning curve. I’ve had my tree fall over 5-6 times in the past 4 years because I chose 8-9 foot trees and our stand was too small and we didn’t learn till last year our stand was for a shorter tree. Real trees are imperfect but at the same time more beautiful than artificial. Keep adding ornaments all throughout the tree. Even closer to the middle. Actually that’s the style now. Just keep adding ornaments, and maybe you could add twigs and greenery from outside.

Oh Missy! LOL, I mean, yeah, on it's own, it's um....a bit thin (kinda surprised and a little disappointed that the tree farm didn't offer to compensate you a little) , but with all the LOVE, lights and decorations, it truly IS lovely! I, myself, prefer some things to look 'homespun'. Perfect is boring. Imperfection adds character!!! No lie, I love it. What a lucky tree to spend Christmas time with your family!!!
