Hi Phil, Your c'van still looks impressive and fresh today with your curtain / carpet upgrades. Question please though. My Ford Puma to Freedom Jetstream weight ratio is acceptable (and legal) but to get the best of the outfit, would you recommend the heavy stuff (clothing, food, bedding etc) all goes in the car when I'm towing as opposed to being in the c'van? Thanks.

Hi Martin. The best way to go about it is weigh your heavier stuff. Then work out how much actual weight the caravan can carry. Place any heavy items on the floor over the axle. We leave the canopy and TV etc in the boot. I will have to do a pre towing video of how I set up the car and caravan. Hope this helps. Thanks Phil. 😊

Keep an eye on the floor for delamination and awning rails for water ingress, both a common problem on these vans

Why not do a detailed video on how you pack your caravan ready for towing. Do you have your clothes in the wardrobe whilst towing? What do you carry in the cupboards? What do you store under the bed and seats? Etc. These are the sort of videos new caravaners should be watching.

@@lostweekendscaravan I think everyone knows that they mustn’t overload their caravans and heavy items placed over the axle etc. But an in-depth video of ‘what’s in the cupboards’ would help many I’m sure. Keep up the great videos 👍

Very nice! The transverse bed & the panoramic sun roof does it for us. Definitely going to be a feature of our next van. (yes to drinking Gin!).

Did you buy it? We bought one of the last remaining new 2018 4SB in early January 2019 with February delivery and been delighted with it. We preferred the lighter worktops to the 19 dark grey as made too grey and an interior and dark. You can pay £1000’s more but you don’t really get that much, or nothing we thought would be great to have or wanted.

Absolutely the best range of caravans for the price. Wanted to go German... but all the hassles involved and not as many features. (Far from it actually!). So, after much deliberation... chose the Sprite ourselves. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy when you get it!

I was similarly pleased when we looked at the freezer compartment in our van to see there was plenty of space to get ice cube trays in! Another caravanning gin fan here!

Looks great. I enjoy looking at the multiple different layouts in ‘vans. We don’t have a fixed bed, cos we need the space for our 2 boys. But, they are great for ease of use. Wishing you many happy years with it. 👍

We liked your van but our local dealers don't do dealer specials but we are happy with our choice. I have had solar panel added, bbq point and outside electrical point. Quick question how is the mattress on the bed as we are hoping that it is very comfortable. Thanks for viewing. We have more videos to upload over the winter time. Juliet and Phil.

lost weekends caravan I must admit that I found the mattress a bit firm for my liking, but the wife liked it also I found the bed a tad narrow. It's still better than setting up the bed every night and I'll get used to it over time. Overall it's a great caravan. Cheers Jon

Was interested to see your video and hear your thoughts on your van. We have a sprite major 4 and are very happy with it. Like you, we were amazed at the quality for the price paid and couldn't be happier. Also like you, we spent ages looking...I thought we'd never settle on anything! However, we are looking forward to getting away on our adventures again in the spring and I'm hoping to start my own channel too, put Scotland on the map ad I only know of one other Scottish vloger and that's T1. We are planning our adventures for this year, but we would like to get up to Scotland in 2019. Hello Yes they are not the best colours. The worktops are now grey and the units are wood coloured. I still prefer the Blue/Grey on the seats. I hate beige personally. Thanks for watching. Phil🙂👍
