As a local Korean, I’d like to recommend trying Korean barbecue, including samgyeopsal (pork belly) and hanwoo (Korean beef). I also highly recommend visiting Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in South Korea, where you can enjoy a splendid view of Seoul's skyline from the observatory at the top.

You might want to consider a temple stay outside of Seoul in the mountains. Also everyone goes to Jeju, but Ulleungdo is an island off the beaten path. In Korean culture there is nature and you build around that. You do not destroy all of nature - the buildings work with the natural environment. Seoul is unique because there is nature, old, and new buildings. In Canada where I live historic buildings are destroyed. Now some are preserved, but they are literally just a shell overlapping a new building. Also in the palaces they each seem to have at least one angle where you can take a photo without skyscrapers.

Unfortunately a lot of these more rustic neighbourhoods in Seoul are starting to disappear due to development. It is hard for a lot of businesses to survive due to increasing rents. Korea has a fascinating history in that it went from being one of the poorest nations in the world to a member of the G20 in about 50/ 60 years - that is unprecedented.
One of the best comments I have seen lately! Totally agree with you! Lets be humble and respectful and discover other countries through these videos!

its best to travel in east asia during spring or autumn months, and when its summer or winter in east asia is the best time to visit southeast asia
@xiaodisun-lf5ymАй бұрын
You may not know how big China is. For China, the best places to travel can be found in all seasons. You should divide East Asia into China and other countries, that would be more accurate.
@sushisushi_915Ай бұрын
I know how big china is i am chinese :) and ive lived in and travelled in asia , im just giving GENERAL advise to travellers who have too LIMITED time to check out all seasons , i prolly less likely invite a foreigner to come to China or even korea and japan on a summer because its oozing hot theres nothing to see and summer anywhere you go is same its hot and also its moonson seasons its always raining and in winter its inconvinient, since foreigners are coming to stay in just a short period of time and they arent going to live here, anyway its best to advise to come in spring and autumn its the best season, so many east asian go to SEA country on summer, many will also say so, again its BEST to visit these countries on spring and autumn, and summer be in SEA countries like boracay bali phuket, these two and many western vloggers went to great wall when its summer, but its better to see it in autumn, it depends on ur budget some people go to china/korea/japan on summer cause flightnits cheap but its the boring season :) since foreigners are going be in a few weeks better suggest the best season :)

Seoul is small and has many uphills and downhills. You can explore the entire city in 1-2 days. The playback volume in South Korea and Japan is not high because there are a lot of related videos on YT. You can consider traveling to other countries. If it's just to record life, then it doesn't matter.

Half of the names of the books on the bookstalls are in Chinese characters, because Korean was compiled in the last few hundred years based on the phonetic characters of Chinese. As long as you master the usage of vowels and consonants, Japanese and Korean are just dialects compared to Chinese.

That is because no one is investing in China anymore. I am Asian, I know these things.
I understand that there are a lot of mainland Chinese who say that people in Korea and Hong Kong are bad because some people in those places will severely discriminate against mainland tourists while being friendly to white people. But I don't want to discuss this, after all, some Chinese have many reasons to insult some Koreans too. If there are any Korean friends in the comment section, please introduce to our anchors and mainland Chinese viewers some spots that you think are better (or unique) than mainland China (not to start a war, just wondering if there are really some misunderstandings that can be dissolved)
