Thanks! The travel from the ship to Dubai was only for the one day. The following day we sailed to Port Rashid in Dubai itself, so everything was close by.

A bit late in the day but I'm enjoying the 1st vlog and looking forward to the remaining vlogs. I'm sure that this is the same cruise that Carole and Paul was on too?. I haven't cruised since 2004. Thomson Spirit' its decommissioned now But by watching you Andy and Kirsty and Carole and Paul I am looking forward to a cruising holiday.. Thanks x

Thanks for the great views. I only had a few hours in Dubai so I visited the "Old Dubai" which depicts what Dubai was like "before oil"; A tiny village on the Dubai creek. I can hardly wait for the next installment.

Just watched Day 1 & 2 on Marella Discovery and thoroughly enjoyed and well edited. My wife & I have sailed on Discovery 2 & Explorer 2 and enjoy TUI cruises. I use a GoPro and was inquisitive as to what you were using but you answered it further down, a DJI Osmo pocket :)

Thanks for watching! I've just added the Gopro Hero 9 with the media mod which I used in our latest vlog in Swanage (in combination with my main camera). It worked really well.

@@andyandkirstie Thank you. I've been puzzled since watching it having seen the shadow of the selfie stick but no actual selfie stick! Researched on the net and found out the stick is erased out while using the GoPro Max then read it further down the thread. All mod cons eh? :)

Thanks! We used a 360 camera on a pole for that shot. The pole is 'rubbed out' from the footage, however you can see the shadow of it on the ground.

Thanks! I have a few cameras, each with a different job! My main vlogging camera is a Sony A7mk3. The 'drone like' footage is filmed using a Gopro Max on a pole. I film out of the coach window using a DJI Osmo pocket. We don't have a drone purely because they are a prohibited item on cruise ships.

Yes we would recommend them. We hadba greatvtime on Marella Discovery. Yes, they used to be Thompson. They are part of Tui.

Thanks for watching. I use a few cameras. My main cameras are pretty standard Sony mirrorless. I also use a DJI Osmo pocket for some shots and for the shots with a more unusual perspective I've used a Gopro Max.

We really enjoyed Marella Discovery, it's a great ship. We thought the food options were excellent and of course inclusive drinks is a huge bonus over P&O. Well worth a try.
