I think, if not family females in pics, they tend to show what kind of women he finds attractive, so I just take in that additional info into my calculations (/judgments) about what kind of person he is 🤣. But what’s funny is that I don’t think guys would like any pic of a girl with lots of guys but I don’t think women put that in their profiles 🤣 Anyways, apps are fine through your 30s but don’t bother after that - just meet people in real life lol.

I meet my husband through coffee meets bagel. We meet up but we don’t start dating at that time. Instead we stay friends and only start dating after 1.5years. Could be due to timing and things fall into place after we get to know more of each other. On the question of guy putting pictures of him surrounded by women, for me personally it’s a red flag. Is he trying to tell me that he has lots of options or he’s still going to be there for them if any of those women need him or his time? I won’t want to deal with the complications or any one of the women showing me cat claws indicating he’s hers and she’s trying to get him to become hers. For me the simpler, the better because I don’t have time to play games.

The main issue with online dating and these apps (and life in general) is that people really don’t offer grace to other people but expect allllll the grace being given to them. Y’all are the reason I deleted dating apps though, so thanks for that perspective in one of your older videos! I’m over dating apps in general-people have a very bad time at turn sharing (especially men, sorry guys💕). I know my friends and I were talking about eharmony recently. Yea I think I'm also done with dating apps. I was only on them for a short while since I downloaded them right before the pandemic and had my profiles on pause most of the time until I deleted them LOL. There were some people that seemed nice, but so many were just rude, creepy, or just trying to hook up (which is alright on its own, but I'm not into that). I mostly noticed though that it was making me more shallow and critical of people I know nothing about and that was so weird for me because I'd always been more attracted to personalities than looks. People don't usually believe me when I say that LOL, but 1) I used to never look at people's faces because I was shy af and 2) I used to play online games as a young kid (shout out to Maple Story and Audition) and really valued my online friends who were faceless to me at the time. So yea.. I think I'd rather meet people organically 😊

My landlord and her husband met on dating app, i tried during the pandemic but I'm clueless about it at the same time and decided to delete it. Maybe not for me but I like listening to other experiences about it. Thoughts about guys with girls pictures would make me backout unless we started as friends then it doesnt matter as I have more guy friends. LOL hey the topic ive been waiting for :D. I’m psychic. I recently just stopped using dating apps here cause im so tired of all the superficial questions. It’s like people in NY especially… their life is led my checklists. Good school, good career, achievements, etc. it’s like how we are conditioned here. They often look at me blankly when I ask them about values, beliefs, mindsets and perspectives. It just feels empty. For some people it takes a bit to drop that barrier yet it’s natural to judge on first date so people want to make the best impression. But I’m a weirdo and usually downplay myself cause I don’t want those to be the deciding factor. To me, those aren’t important for a relationship because those are all things I already have through my own efforts. Emotional maturity/compatibility, having substance, and being the yin to my yang as a teammate is 🔑 (I did the emoji LOL) I know girls here that won’t date guys unless they make 5x their pay (heard it personally when we were having dinner and this convo). She does real estate in LIC for these luxury apartments and also a few in Manhattan. I’m scared of both guys and girls now LOL. You guys videos always hit the spot for late night thoughts.

But my opinion is yes she’s crazy too hahahaa but that’s because I don’t care about things like that. I’m similar to you. I brought up the point on how there are some people who are seeking a perfect result but don’t want to take the path there with the person. My guy friend once told me “he’s not looking for a project” in response to dating chubby girls even though I asked “what if she’s seriously and proactively working out”. Met my very first boyfriend off tinder. ngl I was super against them at first and was only on there cause I was bored. Unfortunately things just didn’t work out (priorities changed) and although we’re not together anymore, I have no regrets and he was a great boyfriend at the time. Success stories are far and few with dating apps, but they’re there. I feel like just because of the times (especially now during this pandemic) it’s a lot harder to meet people in person and sometimes using dating apps can help bring solace to people who are lonely. Great video! I loved Gloria’s questions and insight. It was definitely interesting to hear both Jason’s and John’s perspective as well. I was really shocked because Gloria mentioned guys using a lot of emojis, but I don’t think I’ve experienced much of that. I’ve never used dating apps, as I don’t want to deal with the headache of filtering through the superficial guys with the genuine ones. Life is hard enough. But my friends have been suggesting I try dating apps. I appreciate you all sharing your experiences. What Dr. Gloria shared really resonated with me. I didn’t know dating apps were that complicated. I didn’t take it that seriously when I used to do okcupid. I said dumb random things to break the ice when guys said hi to see their response. Because Im not into serious guys that don’t know how to take a joke so it was my way of just having fun. I was on okcupid 6 months after my break up to just talk to guys not really thinking about meeting up. But I met my husband on okcupid and I was on it for 2 weeks than deleted it. If a guy said hi I’m Dan than I would say hi back. And so was a rude response. I picked my husband because he was normal and down to earth compared to some weird creepy people. When guys liked me and said hi I wasn’t calculating and checking their status of which guys are better in terms of where they graduated and what job they had. It was all about personality for me as in if he was a good genuine person.

To me that's a total turn off (aside from the gym and shirtless pics), regardless of whether it is in a club, party or beach, it gives the vibe of something like "Ayy girl look at me I'm so hot that other girls want me" And about guys starting the conversation with 'Hi' or "Hey" with the followup usually asking about your day, I'm actually fine with that as you won't know what the conversation will lead to 😉 P.S: Tinder is also considered to be a hookup app and platform where insurance agents use to sell their products in SG 🌚

I think the few times I did try one or two dating apps, it renewed my motivation to stay single instead :P the longest time I managed to keep any of those apps on my phone was a week before I got fatigued because the games are just exhausting. I totally understand this dating app fatigue. It really is a numbers game. This was a REALLY good video🙏🏻 my friends and i find it a huge red flag if there’s a picture of the guy with alot of girls or even just a girl? It gives off like a “are you trying to prove that you can get alot of girls?” Or was that with an ex?< thats not cool kind of feel,, how do guys feel about girls using emojis? I’m a pretty expressive person and since texts are monotone i feel like emojis help with the vibe im trying to sending😂

My cousin never introduced a boyfriend to us EVER. In October 2021, it was her sisters wedding and my cousin introduced her boyfriend to everyone, including me. I seriously thought she was playing a prank on us. I asked "Did you guys meet through work?" They said no, since he was in tech and she was in healthcare. I was like "Oh so how'd you guys meet?" She said they'd met online, and so I concluded dating apps... It can be successful considering they're still together, and will probably end up marrying. I was so surprised that my cousin and so many people used dating apps.

If I see a dating profile of a guy with a lot of girls in the picture, it’s already a turn off. I would assume he’s relying on the girls to make himself look good. That signals me he doesn’t have much confidence. Why would you use that picture on a dating app when you’re trying to meet girls? I would appreciate a picture of him doing something that tells me more about his character or his interests. That also allows women a chance to use it for a conversation starter. I mean, you can’t quite start a conversation asking “why do you have so many female friends?” Or it be like “he party’s with so many women all the time, is that what I have to deal with in the future.”

I also agree - I'm late 20s and I'm done with dating apps, you're judging someone based on 4-6 photos 😅 How do you expect to portray genuine personality on that?

If i were to see a guy pose with a girl, i would just pass this guy. It might be putting a hashtag that "this guy is occupied, why is he still use the dating apps and talk to me?" I dont know, but j just cant accept it. Anywhere, the hosts are as handsome as always (especially the guy on the left😍

I totally agree that the context of being surrounded by girls matters. But personally I would think: does he have to prove himself with pics with girls? Why does he feel the need to prove himself like this? ---> thus a turn off and indicates lack of confidence more like. Even if its just a photo of himself girls can guess oh I think most girls will think he is a catch thus popular etc. I might even expand it more and think okay even if things go well, I might have issues regarding his "girl friends" in the future.

I think the “no girls” concept is pretty strict from Gloria 😂 even mama??? A group photo with mixed genders is fine but the KEY point is positioning of people. If a girl is standing right next to you there is no way to confirm at face value that persons connection to you & it could even start trust issues before anything begins. Major agreement with the folks saying that it’s to “show you get girls” but that kind of status flexing is something you do for other guys to look cool. Signally “I get hella girls” is like saying “I’ve only ever had one night stands & never really sat down and talked to a girl” why would I want to know your sexual / emotional history…..before we even talk???? Incredibly immature.

If it's a picture with people (regardless of gender), I would need context. Sometimes it's just a good picture of the person hanging out with friends. But if it gives off the feeling like, oh look, I can pull so many girls, then nah.
