I am at such a different stage of life right now and five months ppl with our third baby. I have three kids under three so balancing that, being a wife and trying to get back to work has had me clutching for my pearls! Im trying to find the balance though, give myself grace and just go slow as i can in this season because i dont want to look back at this time and think about how stressed I was. I want to enjoy my babies, make time for hubby and I here and there and start to build my business back up as slowly as i need to.

Chicken Pox! I haven’t heard chicken pox in 30 years
@melaninmonroeeee7 ай бұрын
Wym ? Like you thought the virus was eradicated? Lol
@medlyfeMD5 ай бұрын
Yes! It is quite rare in young kids as it is a vaccine preventable illness and most people born after 1995/96 have been vaccinated. People think, 'it's a mild illness, not a big deal!' But that is not always the case and the virus that causes chicken pox can come back as Shingles as an adult. A disease that can be a short lived simple rash or a rash that can cause excruciating lasting pain or in the worst of cases- blindness! I've been in primary practice for 10 years and I haven't seen it yet, but I have seen a TON of shingles!
@gemini0225 ай бұрын
@@melaninmonroeeee not at all what I’m saying - I’ve had chicken pox in the 90s. It was more common to hear it mentioned back then. I haven’t heard the word mentioned in decades. I still have some chickenpox scars on my skin.
@gemini0225 ай бұрын
@@medlyfeMD thank you for that info I had it when I was a kid in the 90s and it was common to hear about a kid having it as if it was “normal to get the chicken pox virus”. Back then. Now, I never hear the term or kids getting it. That’s why I’m surprised because I’m aware about the vaccine too.

Thank you so much for the mention and actually seeing me and the value of a Black woman farmer and brand owner. I live in Quebec Canada so we have very similar look outside. Some days it's beautiful but some still are cold with snow.... I feel like my motivation varies drastically this end of winter season. Even on days that are super sunny I feel unmotivated but then I have days of gloomy cold weather that are super productive. I take it as a wave and try to just ride the way and listen to my body as much as I can and to the best of my ability. Blessing to you guys!!!

A few friends of mine also experienced the same demotivation & plain illness in varying degrees from the beginning of the year to now. GWS, Max & Maya fam. Side note: I got chicken pox when I was 10, some 35 years ago. I still have a faint scar below my right bottom lip & on my left forearm. All I remember was headaches, a fever, pink eye & missing school for a week.

Awh man Maya!! I'm admiring your dedication to sticking with a fast when you feel moved to do so. I have been trying to fast (4 days of raw vegetables and fruits after breakfast) but keep breaking it. 😢 I did successfully complete a similar fast in January (3 days no eating from 6am-6pm, when eating only raw fruit and veg), but the feelings of being cold and irritated (which is not an everyday feeling of mine) discourages me. I dislike the thought of being cold and irritated since this type of fasting is new to me. I'm going to try again tomorrow. You have given me a great encouragement!

To be honest, this season is definitely challenging… I feel like I’ve fallen in the trend of being that “boss babe” on my hustle and grind for my bag. But this is the season where I’ve created and felt the most inner turmoil in general. I can create pros cons, find the red flags green flash, ask for help or don’t ask for help, make choices, hope I made better choices, research, practice, rest… and on top of that pray. But I feel like it still is either not fully what I want or is all turns out unsuccessful and makes me feel unworthy… and I hold on to that “stay on your hustle” copying mechanism. Ultimately inside I deeply want to just let it all go. Like a simple breath, inhale and exhale. And trust in myself & the process that everything will fall into place. And work out. Easier said than done…

@@loveforeignaccentsin Europe it’s not apart of the general vaccination protocol for children, only under specific circumstances ie they have close contact with someone who has a weakened immune system. I got it at 18 and was the worst thing ever, it ruined my skin but I was none to wiser to knowing I never had it… didn’t grow up in the west and my mom didn’t even remember of I had it as a kid. When my younger siblings had it, I then got it a week later I was genuinely so upset because compared to them my blisters were so much worse!
@loveforeignaccents7 ай бұрын
@@kooliecurlz93 It doesn't matter where one lives. It is a matter of knowing what is best for the child and protecting the child, which you have obviously had to find out the hard way, poor girl!
@kooliecurlz937 ай бұрын
I understand what you're saying but it actually does matter. It isn't apart of protocol which means those not eligible have to pay almost £500 to get both doses of the vaccine. For the average family that is a lot of money. I think it should be apart of protocol because like in my case a lot of adults don't remember or know if they ever had it and the older you are the more dangerous it becomes which I think is so unfair.@@loveforeignaccents

I’m glad she’s healthy, in the US they make us believe we are gonna die if we don’t get vaccinated. Back then there was no sanitation like there is now. That is the reason these infections were deadly in the 1900’s. Also her mom does a very good job by using natural remedies. Unfortunately some vaccines given to newborns can affect them negatively specifically because of the heavy metals.
