Our Daughter's Emotional 'Coming Out' Reaction

For the first time, Olivia got to see how her grandpa and uncle reacted to our "coming out." Olivia became super emotional to see how much her family supports her Moms. It was HAPPY tears!
We are Ebony and Denise, a two-mom family with three kids; Olivia, Jayden & Lucas. Denise and I have been together for 12 years and married for 8 years. We love recording family-friendly videos and sharing our lives with the world.
We hope to inspire, inform and connect with people who can relate to our story and might consider sharing their own story of “coming out.” Coming out is a journey of self-acceptance, and we hope to inspire the courage in our viewers to be authentically who they are. We would like for our viewers to realize that the life they envision living is in fact possible. That having a partner, career, and family is possible in spite of being stigmatized by society.

I think Olivia had an intense reaction to the idea of gay people not being accepted. This is just outside observation but maybe her mind can't process that? I think this weighed heavily on her heart and she told you guys they were happy tears. But I just got this sense the idea of people not accepting gay people really traumatized her. And it does make her happy that you guys are accepted and supported as a family. However, I think this affected her more than she told you. I dunno, just an outsider opinion. Take it for what it's worth. Take Care of them beautiful babies and I enjoy your content!

i literally started bawling after watching ur video. It was super hard for me to come out to my parents cause they r super religious. I ended up getting disowned. I was homeless and depressed for a long time. People like u really give us hope that world will be better place n we wont be hated for loving someone. Love from India

Awww, so sweet! That made me cry as well. I believe if I had this kind of talk with my older kids (ages 8-11) right now, the girls may have the same reaction because they won't ever know what it's like to be ridiculed for your sexual preferences, and they think it's baffling that people don't get accepted for who they are.
