Donniece, so proud of you! I am 11 years out of gastric sleeve surgery and have been maintaining an 85 lb. weight loss. My nutritionist at my center recommended Jay Robbe protein shakes, 1 c milk, skim almond, 1/2 banana and teaspoon of peanut butter--for added protein. Even after all these years, I have to say that body dysmorphia is real. Keep up the great work!

Aloe Vera gel can be used as a moisturizer, softener and thickener for the hair. Also, fresh or dried rosemary in olive oil can be used to thicken hair and aid in hair growth. You can use double broiler method to make the rosemary oil. You look beautiful and healthy. Part of your procedure can be reversed to avoid too much weight loss and micronutrient deficiencies.

DoNice, you look AMAZING! I had gastric bypass nearly 25 years ago, and have maintained my 160 pound weight loss. I did have a tummy tuck, but I still have loose skin on my arms and legs. That being said, I don’t think you will have to worry about that too much, because you’re quite a bit younger than I was (mid 40s) when I had my surgery. I’m thinking at your age, you won’t have much loose skin. Keep up the good work, it’s worth it!

I think you look fabulous! You are doing great. This is indeed a journey both physically and mentally. I am 71 and 8 years post VSG. Went from 289 to 177. Best decision I ever made. Isopure makes an unflavored protein powder that can be added to drinks soups hot cereal and even into baking recipes. Concentrate on high protein foods because the shakes although good. will get boring after a while. Great job! And fantastic support system Mrs.Donna❤❤
