That looked like so much fun! I didnt even know persimmon fruit existed untill this year or so. I am from canada and discovered the American persimmon which is astringent and cold hardy so i bought seeds online to try and plant some trees. We just dont have these in my area which sucks because apparently i am in their growing area (for the cold hardy american persimmon) and for the paw paw. I am getting a little obsessed with native food trees bushes and plants and wondering why my areas conservation authority doesnt include these types of trees in their tree program. Here we can get bare root spruces, etc to plant and help green up the area but not the fruiting natives which can help provide wildlife food as much as for people. I am hopeful i can get some started and stick them out in the wild along fence rows or edges of someones bushlot if they agree to it. There are actual almond tree varieties which are cold hardy enough to grow here too. Apricots too! Anyways great video thanks for sharing!
