Kotor is super beautiful! We went years ago, and loved it. We took a bus from there to Dubrovnik. One of the most scenic bus rides of our lives. 😍

We enjoyed our day there……great beer at the Dubrovnik Brewing Company ……for those who like seafood, dont miss the black risotto with cuttlefish, also for a snack, a burek at Mlinar!

First checkpoint was Montenegrin CBP, second one was Croatian. Every document goes through OCR reader and the duration of the stop will depend on the results, nationality, age, vehicle, amount of luggage, conversation and other. If your passports are valid and check returns nothing, a US couple in a small rental car with little to no luggage is usually not that high risk. So it's not the passport "strength" but the variety of factors that will influence the duration stop.
