I'm a diehard Bruins fan. I bleed black and gold. With that being said I love watching the evolution of Montreal and think the leagues so much better when they're a good team. I'm routing for their comeback until they start being a playoff contender again. Fuck toronto tho always and forever

As much as I love Merk and Lysell, no way they can kick Freddie off that 2nd line. Freddie is a killer and he’s got some untapped potential on offense, and he’s never quiet in the postseason. Helluva episode boys, IS IT OCTOBER YET?!?

Don't sleep on how good Sanderson is going to be this year in OTT. He will make the USA 4 nations tourney.

Only guys I really see him competing with on the left side are Hanafin and Werenski (Hughes and Slavin should be locks). Werenski wouldn’t make it for me just because Hughes and Fox woul be running the PP’s, so his skill set would be a bit redundant. Plus all of the guys on the roster are capable PP QB’s if Fox/Hughes go down, so it’s not like you NEED Werenski. Hanafin has the edge now just because he’s a bit more proven, but wouldn’t be surprised if Sanderson surpasses him this season.

I’d recommend listening to what the sabres players have said in multiple interviews. They are pumped to have Lindy. It’s exactly the kind of coach they asked for at the end of the season. They wanted a coach that pushes hard, plays an uptempo style, and holds player accountable. Lindy is the right coach for these players.

As a sens fan, it’s make or break this year. I think that’s why they’re going to hold off on signing Ullmark. Come trade deadline, (if they suck this year) they’ll be able to recoup a lot of picks by trading Brady and Ullmark. I’m a fan but also realistic, it’s playoffs or retool the rebuild this year.
@bowlcutt32764 ай бұрын
I think you're right about a retool, but I don't know if they will trade Brady unless he specifically requests a trade. That guy is a beast they should try to trade other people instead of him

As a Sabres fan I know they tear our heart out but it felt like not a ton of research went into them on this breakdown. Saw the Lindy hire and made our minds up. Promoted Seth Appert from Rochester to assistant to take over for Lindy in 2 years (who has been coaching then young guys currently on the team and some of them coming up). JJ had 28 goals last year, Quinn being injured for most of last year. UPL being one of the best goalies in the league for the second half of the year and Levi crushing it in the AHL. Not saying they will light the world on fire. I’m sure they will tear my heart out again but this Sabres breakdown felt like the lazy low road of Sabres takes.

Not a sabres fan but love their team. If sabres can score me this year that’ll be great but they can’t seem to keep the puck out of their net. Without a couple of established shutdown D they won’t come above Detroit.

Got to wait to see how consistency develops, but Bruins' top prospect had a potential breakout game last night. He looks amazing. Super quick, always causing interceptions and catching people by surprise with his speed. He's got a snipe of a shot too. Lysell may be on track to make the team. If so, than all of a sudden the Bruins have a full top 6 grouping without holes. Still, got a bunch of young players, but they'll be potent. Poitras also seems destined for the top 6, but may end up on the 3rd line this year simply b/c of depth. Good problems to have. According to some other media folk (the Skate Pod), the top line (Zacha - Lindholm - Pastrnak) seems like it has the potential to be one of the top lines in the league. This is something Pasta and Zacha already did together with Krejci two years ago, and Lindholm basically did it a few years ago with Gaudreau and Tkachuck. I think if we can retain Sway (we will) then we're looking very dangerous this year

Habs real opportunity opens up in 27-28. Next year shed 1$5M in cap space between Armia, Dvorak and retained salary. Summer 2026 drop price contract ($10M) and summer 2027 drop gally and anderson ($12M). Litterally have $37M+ in space coming with core already signed not including any rise in the cap itself. Should have Demidov with 2years experience and cupboard loaded with prospects. Next 10 years will be fun again to be habs fan.

If the scoring for the Sabres is close to what it was in 22-23, they’re a playoff team in the Eastern Conference. Not Top 3 in the Division, but taking a Wild Card spot.
