Correct me if I'm wrong but the whole plot and vibe of this movie really gives off "i flunked art school because i couldn't accept my teachers' criticism/advice, so i made a movie by myself to show that they were wrong and i dont suck" while interpreting the teachers as like, deliberately vindictive and petty when it's highly likely they were just giving honest critique. Like it's really giving me Mike and Melissa vibes but it's a whole feature length film.
