Recently we got ducks. I didnt think I would care much because I like the chickens and pigs more, but I’ve brown attached.. there’s 3, and I named them all! One is mustard, one is mayonnaise, one is quackers. Mustard has been hunched over and slower then the other 2. She will walk around but with more of a limp. Is she cold? Is she sick? What should I do? She is the mom of the other two, but they are fully grown.

bacteria botulism is treatable with antibiotics and maybe just keep them cleaner every couple days clean the pens. do rinse wash the feeders. like your house pets need clean too.

Hello!! I just saw this video. My duck was perfectly fine today but at night I saw her not moving. Right now she can’t stand up and has her neck towards the left side and can’t move it. She twitches non stop and blinks her eyes often. I thought it was sort of like a seizure but she’s been this way since 9pm and it’s 2:00am. Can it be this? I’m really concerned but no vets at this hour.

I'm so sorry to hear this, we googled some of the symptoms it could be a seizure we are not sure. And what did the duck eat before all of this happened like did you put any rat poison? etc. We recommend googling most of the symptoms she has had and try doing some research to get a better understanding or what this could be. We have never had a duck do this and it's sounds very strange.

Did you place any poison such as rat pellets or any that you can recall? Our duck had some of the same symptoms. take it to the vet as soon as possible.

I used ampicillin (human ) ,but you have to use those very tiny doses .

You can get the duck sick! Sorry, it's an old track from Compton's Most Wanted (use your imagination, and I'm sure you can figure out what "duck sick" means) . I was just listening to them and this video showed up in my "recommended video" feed. I didn't mean any disrespect. I just have the song in my head! All jokes aside, I AM an animal lover, and it truly warms my heart to see people caring for sick or injured animals in distress. Thank you for being kind to God's beautiful creatures. My wife and I have a pet bearded dragon (pogona vitticeps). They are lizards native to Australia.
