Hi Chris and Miriam. We are considering an Enerdrive 400Ah system for our recently ordered Crusader X-Country Extreme. This video has sealed the deal. Thank you! I note you are changing to 2600W inverter. Was the 2000W insufficient?
@AussieDestinationsUnknown4 жыл бұрын
Hey Rob. Great news on your new van!!!! Yep this system is amazing, we love it. Mate the 2000W inverter runs everything except the XXL Airfryer (2200W) and unfortunately Miriam wont be without it. This is the only reason we are upgrading and to tell you the truth i love what she cooks in it so I'm sold too haha
@robmorley70414 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply Cobber. Xlnt news. Our air frier is only 1500W! Final question, which air con is fitted to your van?
@AussieDestinationsUnknown4 жыл бұрын
@@robmorley7041 It's Miriam here now! :) I've had 2 air fryers for a while but we can only take one with us in the van - and the 2225 watt XXL kicked butt over the 1500w that we had. In fact the more i used the 1500w one the less I liked it and ended up giving it to my son. Lol. I'm fussy with my appliances and grateful to Chris for being so understanding hahaha! Oh - and we have the Truma Aventa air con installed. It's so much better than the others we've had. Much quieter and draws less power.
@robmorley70414 жыл бұрын
Aussie Destinations Unknown Thank you Miriam. It would be great to take our air frier. We’ll just have to see if we can fit it in. I’ll see whether we can option the Truma over the Ibis 4. Thank you both for answering so promptly. Best wishes Rob.

Rob Morley you’re very welcome 😁 The air fryer is such a great addition to the van! I use it a lot. I don’t actually use my oven at home. I bake cakes, quiches in it ... everything you’d use an oven for I guess!

Great video on a topic that is changing and sometimes challenging to fully understand. You did a good job on explaining the Enerdrive system, thanks. As an aside can I ask where you were located, looks like a top spot.

Thanks Colin, glad we could help out. This location is a secret.....haha nah its a friends private property in Burrum Heads. beautiful spot!

Quick question. I thought the Enerdrive dc2dc charger only accepts a maximum or around 40amps VOC from the panels. Wouldnt your solar on the roof be too much for it, considering most panels VOC is around 23 volts? Cheers
@AussieDestinationsUnknown3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, The Enerdrive dc2dc can handle up to 800w of solar. We have 720w on the roof. 👍🏼

@@AussieDestinationsUnknown Love the video - this is exactly what i'm striving for. I had a similar question, can you share the typical amps you see flowing from solar into your discharged batteries on a peak sunny day?
@adamtearle15984 жыл бұрын
Was that all installed during the build of the van or was it done after? I assume it’s not the standard electrical components from factory? Cheers
@AussieDestinationsUnknown4 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, this was all installed during the van build but can be retrofitted to any van 😁👍🏼

Aussie Destinations Unknown ah cool. We haven’t made the final decision on which van we’re getting yet but that info will help us when we’re talking to the salesman. Cheers guys

Hey awesomes can you riddle me this please....you got a decent size aircon which would be 2000w if not more....however you only got a 2000w inverter which is very borderline and would put you far over if you connect something else...isnt the inverter too small?(air fryer aside)....Also how come the AC only drew 600w fully cranked if the thing is 2000w or over rated? If you could shed some light on this would be great...yew!
@AussieDestinationsUnknown2 жыл бұрын
Hey Dave 😁 Epower inverters are not restricted in reliability by using them at their peak. Hence if a load will not exceed 2000 watts no need to have a bigger inverter. Yes we do now often use larger inverters to run multiple loads at once. The aircon uses what it uses. At that time if it only consumed 600watts then that's all it needed to use. It will use more or less depending on the ambiant temperature and the temperature you set it to. That particular aircon does not overload a 2000 watt inverter. Hope that helps clear it up!
@daviate8882 жыл бұрын
@@AussieDestinationsUnknown Yeah thats very good news that the ACs hover under 1000w(50-80A)....and actually that's what all the other tests out there show too....still would be good to know how this sum is reached from a sparky's point of view....interesting stuff...thanks

Can you tell me what make the coffee machine is?
@melaniekelly27264 жыл бұрын
Sorry that was a bit abrupt. We are in our early 60’s and want to sell up everything and go on the road. we are currently swinging between a crusader or titan. My kitchen appliance requirements are exactly like yours Miriam, including the thermo and air fryer😁. The coffee machine is an essential. The one we have may be a little heavy to put in a van. I don’t like pod machines as I like my coffee strong and it would cost me a fortune in coffee!!
@melaniekelly27264 жыл бұрын
...titanium...
@AussieDestinationsUnknown4 жыл бұрын
Melanie Kelly this is actually an Aldi pod machine. We just sold it and changed to a Nespresso pod machine as Aldi isn’t Australia wide and it would be hard to get pods. You can buy re-fillable pods! 😀
@AussieDestinationsUnknown4 жыл бұрын
Ps ... I’d definitely go Titanium! Especially if quality and after sales service are important 😁♥️♥️♥️
