I like the off shore edge by Bass pro shop I got an 11 footer with an 8000 reel for av 49$

“If you know how to utilize the split grips, they work really well” Can you elaborate? I have both split and full rear grips on quite a few rods. I don’t really notice a difference in performance.

They work really well when jigging, bottom fishing, or anything that requires sensitivity. By putting your hand right on the rod blank rather than on a grip you get more of a feel for whats happening with your lure.
