2024 is a job well done… Can’t wait for you guys to review on Zontes new bikes…

I was really interested in trying a papio after seeing reviews and owning many small bikes - monkey, grom, ksr110 and of course many kapcai. I was really underwhelmed with the quality to be honest. Feels much cheaper than a lot of the other good stuff coming out of CFMoto e.g. the 450mt. Looks nice in photos and all but it felt underwhelming in every way from suspension, to gearbox and even the power output compared to my 15 year old stock KSR haha. I guess there is no competition in the new bike market here so kudos to them.

And you’re right. My wife’s papio suddenly wobbled aggressively at 80km/h, causing her to self skid at the expressway and road conditions were dry at that time. Makes us wonder if it’s really due to bike issues

@@R8latte wow very scary. I hope your wife came away from the accident ok. There are enough things out there on the road trying to get us.. last thing we want to question is the machine we are riding on😅

Thanks guys for sharing your thoughts on MOTYs. But there are major safety concerns imo, when the choices explained have been almost completely idealistic. What I'll say next and where I'm coming from is the perspective of a pragmatic, value for money, and all rounder rider, who doesn't care about bike aesthetics, completely. Papio - it's cute and fun (But what about the wobble, weight, or even power for just sg highway? and to recommend going into msia with it...) It doesn't even have enough power to be on SG highway, and the driving culture here is unforgiving for bikes. the lack of power to maintain on anything but the slow lanes would mean riding with class 4 and class 5 vehs. Those who have been riding for years have the road sense to navigate away from the cons of this bike, but less so for the target audience of 2b - newer riders, we shouldn't handicap them even more. P.S there's a lot of 2b/2a riders saying why need class 2 when they can ride faster than class 2 bikes - the riders here are giving in to you just as the cars on our roads, what then will happen of you when our cars don't? an average any other 2B bike at least has some road presence and utility. zx4R - because it has quick shifter up and down (?) no safety concerns here but to win just by having a quickshifter is ridiculous because there are more all rounder bikes if u want to talk abt nasi lemak or value for money / pragmaticism (your class 2 moty standards). R15 V4 also has quickshifter, why didn't it win 2B cat? quick shifter, and other accessories that impressed you for cfmoto is easily added on with aftermarket/3rd pt options CFMoto 800 is rather shunned elsewhere in the world for 1 major reason the handlebar wobble at speeds around 130 to 140 is bad enough already. Yes it has amazing things on paper and you guys acknowledged it's unrefined, but not the extent of it. Steering dampers will fix that issue for this adventure bike but not completely like a GS, or some sports tourers like FJR that doesn't need it in the first place. It's so unrefined you're better off buying a renewed COE bike if you want value for money and performance class 2 bcus previous owners would have already modded their bikes After hearing your thoughts and rationale I can understand their places better but they're too idealistic that I believe 80% of the riders will disagree with this ranking. There's nothing tangible mentioned to justify their position. Perhaps a comparison, benchmark, or a rubric may sit better. Or maybe just a rebrand of the title to "Exotic Motorcycles of the Year".

Thanks for sharing your detailed thoughts, bro - we really respect where you’re coming from, and you’ve made some solid points. Among the three of us, we actually have different preferences and perspectives on what makes a motorcycle stand out, and that’s part of the fun in discussions like these. For the MOTYs, our picks leaned more towards what impressed us as unique or standout offerings, but we completely understand that everyone has their own criteria when evaluating bikes - whether it’s practicality, safety, or value for money. We’d love to hear your top picks too! Let us know what bikes you think should’ve made the list - your insights are super interesting, and we’re always open to learning from the community. At the end of the day, the MOTY is just our take based on our experiences, and we know it won’t resonate with everyone, but that’s the beauty of biking - it’s all about what speaks to each rider personally. Appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective! Ride safe and CUOTR!

@@tri333ple Agreed with @moonchipss post and good to see constructive feedback. To be fair, the video is called "our favourite motorcycles" haha. Keep up the good work guys. Great source of localised content that also still appeals internationally (at least to me as an Australian living in Malaysia 😅) For me personally, I would have a kapcai or similar for 2B e.g. rs150r or ADV160. More broadly, as I find a lot of people get into riding for the "cool factor" which is usually associated with sports bikes or the retro-styled bikes I would go with something like the XSR155. 2A there are many options to choose from depending on riding style but I would also personally crown the zx4r as the pick. I've only tried the zx25rr but given they are similar, it is an extremely well packaged bike that can scream without going 100kmh in first gear. Some another notable pick would be the new honda gb350. For class 2, the question really comes down to preference. Not sure on the availability within Singapore but for me personally I love the vstrom 800de. On paper it is heavier than the CFMoto800, ktm790 and even the Africa Twin.. but it holds its weight down low and has nicely tuned suspension. Here in Malaysia it competes closely on pricing with the CFMoto and there is no doubt in my mind which is the clear winner having ridden both of them. Again, hats off to you guys for doing what you do and... see you on the road 😎

@moonchipss Did you experience the papio wobbling too? My wife did at 80km/h causing her to self skid and got flung off the bike. The bike is less than 2 months old too

@@tri333pleappreciate you guys taking the time to reply 🙏🏼 I remember Mark can't tahan scooter posture but scooters are really stonks. There's a good reason why there's an xmax every 400m lol. 2B anything could've taken it for me just not papio or italijet. Class 2 cfmoto can tbh, but after the past 2, tbh it sounds like a sponsored list, bid for it and winner takes the cake. Its usually like that for rankings elsewhere anyways ... Anws yall COE ending soon right 😂 cant wait to see what's next. Action speaks louder than words LOL
