Bahia Palace is never used by the king, nor by anybody else besides for its function as a monument to visit. In fact, the actual Royal Palace occupies half of the medina. Thank you for the lovely vdeo. Cheers,

Hi, am from Marrakech, jamaa El fna has a sad story, jamaa means place, square and fnaa means "end, death".... Why this name.... During French colonisation, In This place prisoners and those who were against French government and struggled inside different movements for indépendance, were executed (killed) so many prisoners and local people died (beheaded in this place)..... it keeps this name to remember this sad event and all the people who died for the nation.... But after the indépendance, this place was turned in a symbol of "life" and "freedom"

Jamaa Lefna name is way older than the French era by centuries .....

I Don't know who tells you this story, but it's completely false! This place have almost a thousand years... In XII century, Jemaa el-Fna square was a place of justice where sentences were publicly applied by the judge to reign justice within the tribes. Commercial activities comes later..
