Our Fertility Journey: Episode 5

Our fifth addition to our new series. The last week has been like a dream for us. The amount of beautiful messages we received have been so overwhelming. We can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for this blessing. The journey has been long and difficult but being here now, all I can say is that it was worth it. I want to thank you all for how amazing you have been.

Yeah. It feels like he loves her more. I see how he always leans on to her and keeps her hand and kisses her and says "I love you" and she doesn't even respond😂 nothing bad with that, I'm sure she loves him same much. It's just so weird cause my relationship is totally different. Gender reveal idea- film yourself doing a makeup tutorial in black and white and make your eyeshadow either pink or blue for whatever the gender is and talk to us about all the things you are look forward to for when the baby arrives - and then you and Steven get dressed up and sit in the garden with a bunch of balloons either blue or pink and then reveal the video in color at the end! 💙💕

You guys noticed how Steven has kept it all in during the journey, while Desi was pouring her emotions out, so he was strong for her, and now I feel it’s the other way round, Steven is very emotional in this video while Desi still is but a bit tougher, and she’s supporting him. This here is what love is all about, true balance, supporting one another, never dragging each other down. You too are soulmates and also made to be parents. 🙏🏻

I have struggled with telling anyone about my struggles with my current pregnancy, just the facts let alone my feelings. The only reason anyone other than my husband knows is because his older brother finally asked if I was pregnant. My husband said yes but looks like we may not be able to keep it. Then like a week or so later it got brought up again and my husband said that things may not be as bad as initially thought. Other than that, no one has gotten confirmation I'm pregnant and idk if my husband even has all the info. I cannot imagine being that vulnerable to the world, those who mean me well and those that mean me harm.

I think I slept my whole first trimester. It was insane how much I slept. My husband didn’t believe how exhausted I was. I even forgot to go back to work when I fell asleep during lunch sometimes. Trying to explain that while still Keeping it a secret was hard. Lol

IVF has made leaps & bounds in the almost 2 decades since I had my first. Though I never experienced it, I’ve had many friends & family members who have. It’s just amazing. Remembering my own pregnancies..... this has made me cry so much because I miss it so very much!!!! I was in and out of hospital for 7months with both of my kids due to hyperemesis gravidarum but the little milestones, doctors appointments and scans made it all amazing and surreal!!!! Sailed through labour though lol. Holding your babies changes you forever- you never view life the same way xxxx Can’t wait for this for both of you.

My morning sickness disappeared out of nowhere too but a lot of people was telling me that once in the second trimester it goes away and that’s when you get like a boost of energy. By the third trimester I was sleeping in every day all day LOL I had a girl she’s six months now and for my general reveal we just did a smoke bomb. Boy or girl I’m just still so happy for the both of you wish you nothing but a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. It goes by so quick 💕

Desiiiiii I have been feeling so down lately to the point that I dnt want to do anything but stay in bed. I feel so worthless sometimes even though I’m so blessed in so many ways. I’ve been struggling with mental health issues and sometimes it just takes over. I keep reminding myself things are not as dark as they seem in my head and seeing your videos definitely puts things in perspective. Girl each appointment I would have like a mini panic moment because they always struggled to find the heart beat and I’d get scared. It really does feel like time stops and you hold your breath until you hear that beautiful sound of a healthy heart beat. They Day my c-section came which was a week early btw I was so ready to meet my baby girl and she was a breached so she came out feet first and I was so nervous I was shaking from fear and nerves and when I heard her cry 😭 I started balling my eyes out and I said to me husband omg she’s beautiful and hadn’t seen her yet only heard her. It was the most surreal moment when they put her on my chests and I could breast feed her. She was a healthy baby girl and I don’t think I had ever felt that type of joy and warmth in my heart me and the hubby were crying at first then we were scared then we were just so happy and grateful. God bless you guys this is a magical journey. Edit: my symptoms were mild to none, I realized I was preggo the day I woke up from this amazing day nap, which I can’t take day naps and that day I didn’t even realize I fell asleep and when I woke I felt so great. I threw up once and it was because I ate hot Cheetos my baby was not having it all I craved was oat meal fruits veggies and cooked sushi/ all Asian food, and of course my Mexican food good home cooking. My baby girl moved so much that I nicknamed her the lil mermaid, it it does feel like lil butterflies fluttering @ inside. I was showing by 3 months for sure. Yeah don’t drink caffeine for sure a sip is fine but I wouldn’t do a whole cup. Oh yes walking helps so much I also did pregnancy yoga. So sorry that Steven couldn’t be there for your following appointments.

I’m so happy for you both! My husband and I are also pregnant with our first child. He underwent a year of chemo 5 years ago and miraculously we were able to conceive naturally. We didn’t think it was going to happen for us. It’s so scary to be pregnant during this time. I’m due at the end of July and as of now he’s still allowed in the room for delivery but he’s not allowed in at all of my appointments. It’s sad for us because this is important for our husbands too. This is a child my husband never thought he’d have and he can’t be as involved as he’d like. I wish you both the best of luck and a happy healthy pregnancy. I know you’ll both make amazing parents. They can feel it. They will protect her during this. My sister in law had a dog who wouldn't leave my side when I'd visit while pregnant. She literally would sit for hours in front of my belly, protecting it from the other dogs and went from a crazy wild dog to this over protective mum. It was wild, it blew my mind and I could tell it was the dogs instinct. I loved knowing that they know you are with child and are trying to protect you. I'm not a dog person but after that it really changed my mind. I've never seen a dog be so sweet

I'm so happy for you both. But i really felt this video because I'm four months pregnant and my husband and I are so excited because we've waited so long to be pregnant. But since the pandemic my husband has not been able to be there with me for not one of my appointments all he gets to see is the ultrasounds which he appreciates but he also wants to hear the heartbeat and see the baby move during my ultrasounds . It deeply saddens me that we can't both enjoy the experience together right now but we're still very happy and i just hope soon he'll be able to be there with me for my appointments. I went through 3 rounds of IUI after clomid and then injections in the butt having had years of trying naturally. It failed. I can so relate to all your feelings during this. We were booked in to start IVF when a miracle happened. That was 25 years ago. It never happened again and I couldn't face having fertility treatment again so here I am the mum of a single 24 year old boy sobbing with happiness for you both. Congratulations. Xx

From 16-22 weeks I was falling asleep everywhere; just a wave of tiredness would hit. After that, no symptoms at all up until delivery. Only cravings of watermelon, A&W root beer strictly from the restaurant, and spicy foods. So exciting seeing your pregnancy journey💗

I can’t explain how much watching this/ your journey helped me! Omg yes Steven for husband of the year! I love how he's so excited just looking at you and ready to be a dad! So cute! Man I bet with all the new rules under quarantine its has to be super hard to go into these health places and not be able to have a love one there. It blew my mind hearing stories about people not being able to be in the room with some who is sick and possibly not going to live. That they couldn't be with them during their last moments. I hope you guys will be able to see your baby born together. That broke my heart to hear Desi cried out in the hall. But I understand it's very upsetting! I can only imagine how nothing you felt in that moment.

I’m absolutely thrilled for that both of you I understand your journey I lost my baby girl at 22 weeks in 2008 due to anencephaly I was devastated I got pregnant again with my son who is now 10 years old but I couldn’t even enjoy that pregnancy I was so paranoid with everything I made sure I was on top of my folic acid pills I never dyed my hair, never painted my nails I was so afraid I did everything by the book so I know the struggle it only got worse when my son was born lol I didn’t even want people to see him it just that mother instinct congratulations to the both of you being a mother is such a blessing ♥️

I feel like that’s an Asian thing. Almost all of Asian-American I know speaks that way, me included sometimes. Personally I get it from my parents or someone older than me who isn’t a native English speaker, it’s like they’re asking if I understand what they had just said. 🤗 Or could be just a reassuring thing from the doctor ❤️
