Oh wow! I could absolutely go for one of those croissants I spied at the beginning 🥐! I’m not sure if you can go wrong with raspberries and custard with bread. Wowza 😮That church would be amazing to photograph a wedding at! Beautiful filling at the park. Another great video guys! ~Rachel and Andy

You both are so sweet! Thanks for your kind comments. 🥰 That bakery is one of the best in Iceland, and you're so right - that would be one stunning place to get wedding pictures! Now I'm regretting not doing that. haha - Rachel

Were you guys covering all the places in the city mentioned here by foot ? And which camera did you use for vlogging?
@MattandRachelTravel

Everything in Reykjavik was in walking distance. Only place we had to drive to was Thingvellir National Park. We use a Canon M50 for vlogging. ☺

Great video thank you, especially as I’m going to be there at a similar time this year! Did you buy your Lopapeysa Icelandic sweater there, and if so where and are you happy with it? Cheers from Australia!
@MattandRachelTravel
@MattandRachelTravel 2 жыл бұрын
We are very happy with our sweaters! We actually bought them from a thrift store in Akureyri for about $30 USD per sweater. I believe it was a Red Cross, but they have a few thrift stores. You can see more in our Akureyri video!

Love this! We are looking forward to our trip in August and you have given me helpful info. I would like to point out a bit on the cairns since you showed them. I live in New England and we have many, old ones. I point out old as it’s a bad idea to build them now. Not saying you built them, just a PSA to anyone. Moving rocks disturbs the soil making the area prone to erosion and can also disturb fragile vegetation and ecosystems. Just like stepping on the moss 👍. I do agree on your “law” to give kitties homes😽❤️
@MattandRachelTravel
@MattandRachelTravel 2 жыл бұрын
Glad we were able to help! Thanks for sharing that about the cairns. We didn’t build any but wanted to point out the tradition of building them. They’re also used as trail markers sometimes so building new ones could confuse people using those trails. We hope people leave Iceland just as beautiful and pristine as they found it.

Great, you can see our snowy mountains and rivers in the south island and see the bush and towns and cities in the north. Although there is an amazing Cathedral in Christchurch and no hills hahaha! Flat as a pancake!

Hi Jasmine! That’s so exciting. 😊 We never went on any f roads, and the majority of sights you will probably want to see won’t require you to go on any. We’d love to help and answer any questions you have for your upcoming Iceland trip!

Can you give an address that we can put in the GPS for a parking lot ...where we can park in the morning and park all day so we can walk around the city and then return to the car at the end of the night?
@MattandRachelTravel
@MattandRachelTravel 2 жыл бұрын
We can't recall any parking lots right in the downtown that would be easy or free to park in. What we did was walk right from our Airbnb where we parked on the side of the street. It's free and only about a 10-15 minute walk from everything. Here is an address for a park that was near our Airbnb where you should be able to find parking on some side streets nearby! Austurstræti 4, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland
