Well done. Looks well thought out.

Good to know making a mistake doesn't necessarily mean you blow everything up.

I like it. That looks like a good stought system. In the future if you get more panel you might have to do some series wiring to balance your amperage.

Did you try to wire two panels in parallel (2 sets) then connect those in series, you just double the voltage not 4x. and just double the amps Which you don't need as large of wires, you can use 12awg i believe. hope that makes sense.

I was gonna say the same thing.

Laid out nice. Do you plan on changing the angle of the panels through the seasons? What do you plan on running from the inverter, just curios. I have my panels and battery just making decisions on the Controller & Inverter. I want to get them before any tariffs are placed on Chinese goods then I’m paying 25% more. Keep an eye out for LIFEPO4 battery sales. I got mine right after new years. WattCycle 12V 100AH I got a pair for $269 direct from the manufacturer. Prices are coming down on batteries all the time. Good job and nice Video presentation. I look forward to hearing how it’s working out 6-12 months from now.

Your charge controller can’t accept that many volts, I’d look into doing 2 series 2 parallel configuration

You're using lots of wood/flammable surfaces to mount to. Not good.

Thanks for walking us through that piece by piece. So many setups are jammed into tight spaces and the camera cant show how everything is wired. Your setup is great with all the space you have. I'm looking to do something similar, with two of the large AGM batteries, to run my fridge and freezer during the power outages we get from storms. Thanks again for the great video and good luck with your projects!

That cheap high frequency, transformerless inverter will one day fail, and when fails, because it provides no galvanic isolation between its DC boost stage and its AC output, it will fry your AC appliances. You should have installed a much safer, low frequency, transformer based inverter instead.

For a 400w system this is too complicated. This level of complication is used in 4000w system.
@lawrencedavidson6195Күн бұрын
Well, like this he can easily upgrade the system without changing much.

I have almost the exact set up. Except I have 6 of the Harbor freight 12/35ah batteries in parallel. And the 4 panels in series/parallel due to shading.
