Just making a comment - I am 73YO and seeing the Bubble Light really brings back memories. When I was 6 or seven my mother bought some bubble lights for me to put on the tree - they were a bitch to get to stand up straight (clamps were not good at keeping upright) BUT once they were all upright - it was so keen to see them all bubbling in the tube. I found some several years back and bought them and still put them on my tree, Nice to see your kids and you with them on your tree - nice touch for kids to have as memorues later in life. Love your cabin and the way you carve out a life there with it - Merry Christmas to you each and everyone.

My grandfather Rurik had one of those Finnish temperature gauges in his sauna in Willamina, Oregon during the 1960s. He used to go hunting in Canada with his brothers during the summer. Your hunting cabin videos help me understand why he looked forward to going to Canada.

Such a pleasure watching this video. We are followers.. From Michigan.. however this year away from family and loved one.. I’m currently getting treatments alternative medicine from Brio Medical, in Scottsdale Arizona for stage 4 breast cancer. It was a beautiful 74 degrees today. But longed for the snow on the trees and a white Christmas with Family. Families are so important.. they are like the limbs and trunk of a family tree. I enjoyed the drone views and the closeness of your family and traditions. Stay well stay safe... safety first always and enjoy your winter freeze over experience at the island. I’m in Alberta, so dipping into a lake is difficult since we don’t have as many bodies of water (some rivers could work), but the -35C arctic weather would prohibit that too. It's getting so frozen over! In Switzerland we used to roll in the snow to cool off in between sauna cycles. One of the neat feelings to be so hot and doing snow angles and not be cold until your core temperate came down from the sauna. We wore shoes to an from the Sauna which kept the snow and or dirt out. Plus your toes did not freeze in the snow LOL. That arctic storm was pretty brutal here in Oregon. Coldest temps in 10 years, then cyclopes came in yesterday mid 50's temps and brutally strong winds and loads of rain. Everything flooded of course. The playful razzing after the outro shot was so neat!
