I enjoyed this video so much! I love how you hum along with the soundtrack of Harry Potter to the exact notes, that was so funny! I'm currently hiding in my bedroom after having a bit of a row with my husband. I needed time to calm down and I chose to watch your video. It helped! And I also saw you being so open and honest about little annoyances which is helping me realise that it's all part of living with someone. I really hope the effect of the many positive comments on your videos will linger longer than the negative ones. It must be so difficult to deal with. Just wanted to say I'm really enjoying the love, time and effort you both are putting into filming. Sending love from the Netherlands.

To get rid of the orange stains, try using a paste made from bicarbonate soda and lemon juice, or dish soap if it's on coloured fabric, then spread it on the stain and lay it out to dry, lay it in the sun if it's white fabric as the sun will help bleach it back to white, and then once the paste is dried and spent at least a few hours on the fabric put the whole thing in the washing machine including the paste, add a small bit of laundry liquid, and then wash as normal. If it's a really bad stain you might have to do the whole process a few times, it will probably look worse before it looks better and always test it on a small area first to make sure it wont ruin your fabric. This is the best stain treatment I've ever used, it even got a motor oil stain out of a linen skirt I own and completely restored a white dress I own that had been stained pink by a red top that wasn't colourfast.

I've had those rust spots in the past too and managed to trace it down to one of the radiators. It can be a very tiny area where the paint has chipped/worn off that causes it. Now I never put whites on any radiators anymore. Maybe check the metal end parts of your pulley too. 🙂

It could also be her pipes that go to the washing machine also our last house that’s what happened
@cla97512 жыл бұрын
Oh and the orange spots are definitely from rust! Older houses will generally have older pipes, it could even be from the water heater or if you have well water. You may want to look into installing a filter in the house somewhere.

A cute option to hide those (rust?) marks on your clothes could be to embroider little hearts or flowers over them. There are really easy embroidery tutorials on yt and that way you could make your shirts look nice again. (Could also be a nice evening activity to wind down while watching tv, etc..)

The water where you live may have high iron content or the pipes are iron and contain deposits that break loose and enter your wash cycle. “To remove rust stains from clothes, mix a few drops of hydrogen peroxide together with a teaspoon of tartar cream and baking soda. Apply the resulting paste onto the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse it thoroughly and wash the clothes as usual.”

The staining on the clothes might come from a rusty drying rack. If the rack is made from metal it can easily develop rust at its joints.

For the orange stains, check to see if any of your beauty/hygiene products contain avobenzone...most likely sunscreen. If so, it’s reacting to the minerals in the water when you wash your clothing.

These are signs of rust. Maybe the clothesline that you spread the clothes to dry is rusty in some places or the hangers if they are metal. You can also store folded clothes and they should rest on metal zippers that rust with time and humidity. Unfortunately, I somehow ruined my favorite shirt after it got a stain from a zipper that rested on it in a stack of folded clothes in my closet.

I'd guess the rust stains are due to either iron/rust in your water pipes or high iron content in your neighbourhood's water supply. Personally, I've only ever been able to remove such stains with a solution composed of citric acid or white vinegar and oxalic acid. Soak the stain, let sit for 30 - 120 minutes and wash as you'd normally do. Cream of tartar might work in place of the oxalic acid but I've never tried that recipe.

Your Christmas tree kind of has a vague theme like mine! I have a lot of red and white and nature-themed stuff. Only instead of polar bears, our shops in the US tend to sell a lot of snowy owl and cardinal (the bird) themed Christmas ornaments. I also have several paper birch bark ornaments which I think is probably American. And I do have a toadstool mushroom as well, but mine is red and white.

We sometimes get orange spots on our whites and we dilute a product called Chemtech Rust Off. It is certainly not environmentally friendly but it would get the stains off so you can continue to wear the clothes and stop them from going to landfill.

I like this video so much as well as whole vlogmas! I think those orange marks in white laundry comes from a chemical reaction. Old waterpipes in old houses let some metallic ions to solve in the water and then the bleach that is found in the laundry detergent for whites reacts with that metall causing stains.
