Yes, I got the joke. lol I think it was more sarcasm but yeah, I got it. :) Tip: when I go to the bins I take a hanger and a lightweight tote bag. I hook it on the outside of the front of my cart. All of my smalls go in here so they don't fall through the bottom of the cart. Bonus...when you check out/load your car it's already packed up. I've put 2 or 3 of the tote bags on my cart because those carts are too small, imo.

Imagine standing in formation for over an hour with a subzero wind chill. I was so excited I was going to see snow. F Snow. I hate it. People don't understand that when they pay you for their items, the mark up is exactly because of what you guys have to put time and energy into. I have been a GW outlet shopper for 25 years(yes, they have been around that long). I have not been since last Feb. b/c I moved an hour away. I call the people that rush the new bins "vultures", they look like they are swarming a dead carcass. I have had things taken from my parked cart and also was accused of taking items. Management would go up to carts, ask if it belonged to anyone, no one claimed it got dumped back on the table and was fair game. I have taken friends and family and they tend to not return, it is not for everyone. Thank you for sharing your adventure.

Hey I collect vintage Polly Pockets too. As a single parent I brought my 2 kids up in my small second hand store. People brought in items which I would buy to resell. Anyway, although I could not afford to buy new toys for my kids, they always had a good selection of used toys to play with. They loved the original series Polly Pockets and I now have a large size tote that is stuffed full. I pick them up whenever I find ones that we do not have yet. In fact a few days ago, I found the 1995 Polly Pocket Club House at my local Goodwill with 2 of the 5 original dolls still in it. It was a home run find at only $1.99. I live in western Colorado and the closest Goodwill bins store is over 250 miles away and across the Rocky Mountains.... so too far to go. I wish they would build one here. :0

Listening to you guys first experience with the bins reminded me of when I used to go to a small Goodwill outlet where I used to live...I didn't go regularly but when I did, there was a group of foreigners that when the shoes came out they would just grab grab grab no rhyme or reason! Afterwards they would sort what they wanted to keep and throw the rest back. By the way, this outlet had gaylords instead of shallow bins. I always noticed one foreign lady with her young kids had lunch bags and such like they were there ALLLL DAYYYY. I really miss that outlet because where I live now there only 2 Mom & Pop thrift stores in my small town and not much of a selection in either. Glad you guys had a good experience as first timers : )

I am at risk so I have to protect myself but I sure do miss it and the thrill of the hunt. The bins have felt my little secret for 15 years now. I sure do miss the 30 cents a pound lol... So interesting. Thanks for taking us to the bins. We have outlets in Ontario only sell by the pound and you must purchase so many items in each category by the pound. Very different experience than where you are. There are not that many outlets and with covid they have reduced the days and hours you can go. The closest one to me is 1.5 hours away and then a huge one for all of Toronto is 5 hours away as it’s across the city on the outskirts of Toronto. None are open as the entire province it in lockdown for one month. Since last March they have been so particular what they will accept for donations as they are worried about their staff processing and they limit all locations to 30% occupancy when they were open. This is our second provincial lockdown to try and stop the spread of covid. They put it into affect December 26. I’m not sure when good will opens again after that time to the public. I’m really excited for your amazing finds. Do they just keep bringing out bins all day? Do they only open to the public so many days a week?
@hustlinhooks4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year! So basically they wait until each bin has been “shopped” and is no longer drawing interest from the crowd. They take those back and replace them with fully stoked ones.
@joshblack42914 жыл бұрын
At mine, they're allowing 1 person per bin. Typically clean, but sometimes you run into weird and gross stuff. They do a decent job dividing things up in their own categories in each bin. I'm a Mighty Max fan myself. The Riggs are good pants. Also, the Columbia windbreaker without a liner is just a shell and they sell them like that. I have one.

Congratulations on your first trip! In CT they allow 35 people in, one person to each side of the bin, 6ft apart and very closely watched. Shoes here are crazy. Interesting in WI they allow the mobs around the shoes 🤣🤷♀️

Yea it was inches between people here...with masks, no space.

I go to those exact bins! Haven’t been in a few years though. I’m in the Lansing area and that’s the closest bins to me!

I go to the bins at least once a month. It's the last stop before the landfill. I always find brand New stuff
@hustlinhooks4 жыл бұрын
It’s wild to me that brand new items end up there...

Congratulations 🎉 This is what I spend on my hauls. Most of my pieces I spend about $1 to $3. There’s not very many times that I spend over three dollars for anything very seldom do I spend three dollars so most of my stuff when I do get started selling will be clear profit pretty much except for the expense of selling it

Our bins are deep and I'm short. The smell can be overwhelming. There is a large group of people that work together. So when a new bin comes out they surround and put every thing in there buggies and sort later.
@hustlinhooks4 жыл бұрын
Ah thats crap! Wish the management there would prevent that.

@@hustlinhooks The bins I go to (smaller SW Florida towns) don't allow people to just grab wads of items out of a new bin and throw them all in a cart. I'm grateful for that.

Great finds! I have to travel about 4 hours to my closest bins. I only go once or twice a year, but I would go every week if they were in my area.

Best two finds at the bins, a Burberry baby jumper which I sold for $50 plus shipping and a pair of women’s timberlands like new which I sold for $70 plus shipping. I’m like Melinda, I look after the crazy feeding frenzy calms down, so I was so surprised to find these items. I kept looking around like I was being pranked 😂🤣. The bins are a once in a while thing for sure.

1st time watcher. I go to the Sturtevant Wi bins - near Kenosha Wisconsin. I love the bins, especially for winter, so cheap. The big hot item by me, is the vintage t shirts- Always groups of people waiting for clothing bins for the t-shirts, and they haul through these bins like lightening! Maybe next time bring a shipping bag for small items so they do not slip through the cart.

Been once to the bins here in California, I hated, but! With the pandemic here in California They limit everything. They allowed 1 person per table, so by the time it was my turn, all the good stuff was gone, Loooooooong wait for nothing.. I would go back when and IF this pandemic goes away. Hope soon. Great video guys, thank you for sharing.

I was at this Bins last summer and it was very lean. Almost nothing in the Bins. I did get a few things but maybe I'll try again.
