Finally, a home to call our own after all these years (over 6 years… i know 🤯) It’s been a humbling and eye opening journey to say the least, renovating and owning a home for the first time. But happy to say that I learnt a lot, and with the help of really helpful professionals (special shout-out to my ID, Vincent from The Local Inn.terior for being 100% patient!) we’re able to have #mnmhome today.
We all have different ideas & definitions of what makes a dream home. Different priorities, styles, budget and more! This home is beautiful and you both made it so intentional and functional! Just some constructive criticism, you keep saying “My” fan, “My” sink, “my master bathroom” etc.. but just wanted to say to be aware of how your partner may possibly be feel in the long run! It says it’s “our” home tour and I tottally understand of the implications of the female always saying “my” and unintentionally forgetting about the “we” and partnership.. as I used to do that!! Really just wanted to provide some constructive criticism not on the relationship, but just on how we can say and talk about things! Looking back, I totally made my ex feel very little and very much “happy wife happy life” haha and it would’ve been more considerate to mention things as “we” and not just “I” or “my” Overall, I’m not here to hate! The fluted panels on the ceiling is gorgeous but a pain to clean. Imagine the dust particle build-up. I had fluted tv panel in my living room from ceiling to floor and it collects dust no matter how much I wipe or dust. End up I had it removed after 6 years. No more fluted panels. It looks pretty but the high cleaning maintenance. The entire house is a vibe tho. 👍🏼

hi Mong. while the overall design looks appealing, there a few points I'd to make: - i believe you were referring to cement plastering,not cement screed which is for the floor. nowadays, they are not even real cement, just look-alike, less problematic as well. your ID should know better. - it would have been better to go with 90cm bar table instead of the taller 105cm, helps make space look bigger, less blockage of window as well. - the Samsung Tv frame bracket supposes to allow flat mounting without gap, unlike the one on video. not sure if the installation is correct - seems like there is a slim partition behind sofa, with LED floor lighting. Nice but the gap behind sofa is rather hard to reach. partition takes up some space as well. should have a nice artwork on this wall. - I would have the fluted ceiling termination with curved wall much neater rather than abruptly cut. - the EDL tabletop is technically not fireproof. usually flame retardant - perhaps the most glaring issue is the installation of oven at such height. it would very irresponsible if this issue was not brought up by your ID as it's not safe at all - it would look more consistent to have black bottle trap below basin (available in the market) and black mixer in common bathroom. - it seems like the ceiling fan in your master bedroom would hit the wardrobe door when it's fully open. hopefully not. just sharing some thoughts - hope you dont mind. there are many other things done nicely and glad you enjoy living in the house.

If most are sponsored, fair enough. If really ownself pay 120k, really "smart" move of use of money. Congratulations on your new house. May I know what is the size of your vanity table mirror from ezbuy? Also, did you also buy the light bulbs from Sol Luminaire for your pendant lights or you just get it off the shelves? What type of light bulbs did you get? Thanks!

nice flat for young couple. Eventually u will need to add more kitchen cupboard space. The platform bed isn't practical & just a flat floor with a japanese style thick tatami is better. The pullout hidden tables will eventually sag down over the years so then its warranty will play a part. Fluting is nice but hard to clean.

Really really nice home design. I'm going to do a revamp of my old apartment soon. I will definitely try to apply some of the gadgets and/or renovation idea in this video. I have similar idea for the partitioning of the bathroom but the entrance to the bathing area is a little too narrow; I prefer a wider entrance and bathing space. Also I think the cost of the renovation of 100k is a little too much for me. I'd hire my own contractor and do the renovation based on my own idea and instructions, that would save me a lot of costs.
