@@itachi72819 Singapore pretty much has 2 seasons... hot/dry and wet seasons (mid Nov to end Jan). There will be more rain towards the end of the year and cooler weather too.

@@itachi72819> it’s humid here, wear light clothes but Nov is also the monsoon season, so have an umbrella handy!! If you want to explore local food, Lau Pa Sat is expensive & overrated. Try Tiong Bahru Food Centre or Maxwell Food Centre. For Malay food, go to Geylang Serai or Kampong Glam (Sultan Mosque) & for Indian food, go Little India.

Visiting and living might be different things. Last year Sg got closed to 500 suicide cases, and lonely deaths are getting common. Sg got harsh laws, capital and corporal punishment. Yet today news "Man on trial for murdering 5-year-old daughter, allegedly confined her in toilet for months" Sg still got many self entitled road users, drug users, maid bullies and worst employers. Nevertheless, Sg got the most beautiful flower bloomed overhead bridge in the world.

The crazy thing is Gardens by the Bay is actually built on reclaimed land right in the business district. 50-60 years ago, if you stood at where the Merlion was and looked across, all you were looking at was just the sea. Where you rented the bicycles, the F1 stands, the big ferris wheel, the F1 pit building, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay were all built on reclaimed land.

Guys, you ordered the "wrong" chicken rice. Hainanese chicken rice is served with poached chicken (the white ones you see hanging). Some stalls also sell the roasted version, but it's not original. Also, while some people like to pour the chilli sauce over the chicken and rice, most people use it as a dip for the chicken.

Awww wish you guys had tried the ‘original’ Hainanese chicken rice ie. white chicken (poached chicken). It’s simply delicious and succulent. The recipe is also more ‘premium’ though it looks just like steamed chicken but there’s special techniques to preparing. First boil the whole chicken in water with ginger, scallion maybe garlic then at the right timing bring it out and put into ice and water to soak. Chicken rice chilli is the gingery orangy-yellow liquidy one. Never the soy sauce n cut chilli 😅 maybe a very little dark soy sauce and grated ginger if they have. Voila !

Who on earth eats rice with double forks and noodles with double spoons? 😆 You guys should try eating noodles with a fork and rice with a spoon, it'll make it so much easier to get the food into your mouth (and not all over the place). When in doubt, just observe the locals. Typically, for anything on a plate, use BOTH a fork AND spoon (fork to hold down meats, eggs, etc when cutting with the spoon; and to push rice and food on to the spoon). For noodles in a bowl (may be dry or in soup) a pair of chopsticks and a Chinese-style spoon is used. An exception would be the "Katong Laksa", where you are only given the spoon because they actually cut the noodles into short lengths that are easily scooped up with just a spoon by itself. Nice shots and editing btw! Hope you guys enjoyed your stay in hot and humid SG! LOL! It gets cooler (albeit wetter) from around Dec through to Feb. Jan to Mar are typically the windiest months in SG and that helps bring down the humidity as well... 😅

Singapore has role in India independence. Indian National Army was formed in 1942 under Rash Behari Bose by Indian POWs of the British Indian Army captured by Japan in the Malayan campaign and at Singapore. Rash Behari handed over INA to great Subhas Chandra Bose. he set up provisional government for free India in Singapore. then started the war of indian independence from the British. it was one of the most Epic battle with very little help from the Japanese. after Japan surrender at the end of world war 2 the battle of INA also ended and the soldiers were captured by British army. Brits decided to conduct a public trial on 3 commanders of Ina-Dhillon, Sahgal, Khan. as the news of Netaji with his Army fought against the British spread the entire British Indian Navy revolted in 1946. because of this already weakened British army because of WW2 could not hold onto India and they left in 1947. in 1956 when British pm Clement Attlee came to India then Bengal Governor asked him why British leave India. to which Attlee replied that the role played by Netaji army was paramount for India's Independence.
