Now that Séan is in LA, they need to get Mark as a guest, and slowly drive him insane.
@mavvi3303 Жыл бұрын
When it's Mark and Ethan, Ethan comes across as the more unhinged one but with Sean and Ethan, somehow Sean is even more all over the place and it's usually Ethan that kind of reels him in. With three of them I wonder how the dynamic would be. I mean we've seen it here and there, but not in this sitting down and talking for an hour podcast format. There is usually other people with them, not just three of them. So I would love to see this and how it plays out.

I was obsessed with the hunger games as a kid, so here we go y’all. Peeta’s whole thing was that he really wanted to be a painter and was really good at it. His only real life practice was in cakes but Katniss remembered them to be really realistic and stuff. As for why he did it, after getting in a fight with Cato, he had a horrible leg wound (it was MUCH worse in the book) and couldn’t do ANYTHING at all so his only hope was to disguise himself and hope everyone died before he starved or the infection got him. It wasn’t a perfect thing but he was a severely injured teenager about to die so y’a know it was kind of all he could do. In the movie, though, it did look a bit ridiculous lol

Honestly the first film's the goofiest imo. So many people made Peeta out to be a simp because of it, even though he was a fish out of water in a life or death game. That face paint did him no favours. Sometimes I wonder what the first film would've looked like if Francis Lawrence had the reigns from the get go.
@zmythos Жыл бұрын
The movie had him somehow managed to look like a literal rock when in the book he covers himself in like mud & leaves as camouflage. Let’s say they have just one camera directly in front, and the others are off at angles (which I think is the setup). The front camera could be easily used for multiple things if they just designate an Ethan section and a Sean section & cut around those. Then they can zoom in on one singular face using the front footage, etc. also for anyone hurting to see how close they actually were, see 27:31 for a good estimation. That’s about the amount of space I imagine is between them on the main couch based on my own spatial awareness from their various cameras. They aren’t very far apart. You guys should totally get sleep studies done! I have narcolepsy and when I learned Matt Watson did too, it honestly just made me feel a little less weird about it because I grew up not having anyyy friends or even meeting other people with it. But it actually helps you a lot. You're hooked up on the chest and head (wires) and they literally just put you in a bedroom and tell you to sleep. They come and interrupt your sleep semi often to see if you can fall asleep again right after. For me, I fell back asleep every time within 10 minutes which apparently isn't normal! But it's honestly worth doing because sometimes you find out you might just have sleep apnea and have breathing problems you didn't know about before. I'd recommend not vlogging because it would wake your brain up more and disrupt the study, but instead putting your own camera somewhere in the room to just record the whole thing. Or just get it done and talk about it after!

So, I've been through a few sleep studies, and here's the general vibe: So, you start by waiting several months for a single appointment to be available. They attach a bunch of wires and stuff to your head so they can track your brain activity (it has a special adhesive or something like that so it doesn't tear your hair out) and they leave the room and have you go to sleep in an incredibly uncomfortable "bed" overnight, but you get woken up every hour or so and they measure some shit and then leave for you to sleep for another hour, and then you get woken up at like 4am and sent home. Oh yeah, and if you have someone else who's driving you around, then they have to sleep upright in one of those chairs for guests in the hospital room so then you're uncomfortable, tired because you barely got any real sleep, and you feel bad for putting your loved one through that. and then they send you an email that basically says "you're sleep is fucked up lol" and you go "why" and they go "give us 200 more dollars and we'll do another sleep study! maybe we'll figure it out then!" and then they don't. i hate sleep studies they suck and never even lead to any diagnosis for me!

Ethan's emotion wheel reminds me of Word Webs (or a word cluster). In one of my books, it's a writing exercise where you clear your head and write words or situations that are making you feel off. Then, you have a center word called the Word Nucleus that connects all those things together, helping you internalize it and think, "Oh, so that's why I'm feeling this way." :3

As a registered nurse with a sleep study they hook wires up to your head with sticky glue, they attach some wires to your abdomen and pop a pulse oximitor to your finger. This is attached to a computer which allows the sleep study technician to look at your brainwaves, your respiratory rate, and your oxygen levels while you are sleeping. It tells you if you stop breathing at any time in your sleep which could indicate sleep apnoea. It tells the technician how many hours of deep sleep you had and the REM or rapid eye movement that happened while you were asleep. That is how my hubby was diagnosed with narcolepsy.

51:09 ETHAN PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THIS I have a hot tip for charlie-horses. You might already know this, but (for example) if it’s in your calf and your leg is contracting (closing), do NOT let those muscles contract. Straighten your leg out as straight as you can (slowly). I know it feels like the opposite of what you should do, but hear me out and try this ONCE. You’ll thank me later. Once you get your leg straight, for the really bad ones, I will stretch my foot out too in a way that gets those hamstring/calves stretched. Hold that position for 1-3 minutes depending on how bad it is. If you start getting Charlie horsed again when you start trying to relax your leg, that means you aren’t done. Stretch back out, I’m serious really stretch your leg out, and hold it until you can feel that the spasms have let up. Holding that stretched position helps stop the spams from doing as much damage. After enough time has passed, those spasms (that’s what is happening, severe unconscious muscle spasms) will stop and you can slowly relax your leg. Then GET THE FxCK OUT OF BED and go get some water and potassium, sir! Those are the two things that have made mine practically go away. Stay hydrated and make sure you get enough potassium. Lots of love, from another charlie horse sufferer. Hope this helps anyone who reads it
