In Kapas Island, nature seems to reach its limit of beauty, constantly beckoning us. Scuba diving was stress free and enjoyable. Malaysia is truly an amazing place.
@muhd71442 жыл бұрын
Pulau Kapas is nearest and therefore the most accessible resort island from Kuala Terengganu. But in terms of snorkeling and wide pristine beaches, most will say the two Perhentian Islands (Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil) and Redang Island are better.

Oh wow, such a fun video from start to finish. Yummy ketupat sotong...😋😋😋 Hahaha ... can't imagine Mike went hunting for monitor lizard....LOL. Drone footage was amazing and thank you, Mike GG for sharing the beauty of Pulau Kapas aka "Cotton Island" ✌️

10:32 The chef was right, Kelantan Version of Ketupat Sotong they put brown sugar and more sweet and brownish and Terengganu Version just white, mild and not so sweet.

I was in Kapas Island and nearby Gemia island many years ago, when I took my students there. I was a lecturer at a major government university in Klang Valley, I am retired now. I came back from Tioman yesterday with my family. To me, all islands in Malaysia are beautiful. Seems the boat that takes you to Kapas has not changed that much in terms of size and kind! I took same type of boat many years ago.

I am planning to visit Tioman next month any advise ?
@Mustafa-Kamal-Satar2 жыл бұрын
@@LSTARKO Two types of resorts at Tioman, imho - private resort & non-private ones. A private resort is all by itself in a secluded place, not in a village, no mingling with local people and other tourists, no amenities at all except those provided by the resort. No food stalls, no convenient stores, no govt departments like clinics, fire depts etc. Things are expensive as you have to get them from the resort unless you bring your own stuff like dried maggie noodle, bread, crackers etc. The non-private resort is located in a village, mixed together with the village folks, with other resorts, plenty of amenities (food stalls, convenient stores, mosques/suraus, Chinese temples, govt buildings, ATMs etc). We took a private resort. I didn't choose it, my daughter did. But if I had my way, I'd take a non-private resort. Many of non-private resorts smack right in the middle of villages like Kampong Tekek, Kampong Genting and Kampong Paya. More lively than private resorts, more social activities, more people (locals & tourists), more amenities, more mingling with local people and other tourists etc. We brought our own food items (like maggie noodle, 3-in-1 coffee packs, cooker etc) since things too expensive at the private resort. You can easily get hungry at night times and need to eat while the rsort is already closed for the day. Other than that, I don't know how to advise except enjoy your trip!🙂We departed from Mersing, Johor. Took 2 hours to get to Tioman one way.

I've only been to Kapas island once when I was a kid, in d early 70s if I'm not mistaken, d island was a virgin island at that time, no one lives there. I was amazed at d sea water, perfectly crystal clear, not anymore I think, since it's already been developed for more tourists arrival. D Perhentian islands r also very beautiful.

Glad you guys had a fun day at Pulau Kapas. Im ashamed to say I have been to the island only 3 times in my whole life especially considering I live close enough I could see the island from my upstairs window on a clear day,on a tippy toe ☺ Lol Mike you should come over to my mother's house.There're plenty of monitor lizards behind her house.These creatures are more scared of us than we are of them. Once a huge one accidently wandered into my mother's kitchen. It got so freaked out from my mom's surprised yelp that it went running all over the house knocking over everthing in its path.And those things can run fast! My mom had to call the firemen to help catch it. I promise this is a true story.
