I recommend a "little porta" for inside your rooftop tent. You get gel crystals from camping stores or use a baby disposable nappy inside a plastic container with a strong lid for that late night... you know what :)

Nice one - I get jealous when I see people experiencing the Kgalagadi magic for the first time. We've been multiple times per year most years since 2009. We went in the winter only once - hit -7 temps in the morning drives, and saw very little compared to going in other seasons. Here's a tip for your next time: go in summer...the temperatures are scorching (we had +50C once on a trip for multiple days) but the sightings are out of this world. I am talking of December-Feb timing. You won't regret it. We once counted 54 individual lions on a summer trip (I'm not talking about seeing the same pride multiple times in the same area, unique new cats), and like 12 cheetahs on the same trip.
