I thought HF1 was fun, showed a lot of potential but ultimately wasn't what I was after. HF2 seems to be filling that potential with how you can apply surfaces and especially with building exteriors from scratch. For me, being stuck to HF1's walls was a huge limitation but I get it for that game. There's a couple of upcoming life sims I'm interested in but as a builder, I'm looking forward to this as well.

Hmm, I think I actually prefer the graphics of the old house flipper. :) In this version, even the 'dirty' house looks a bit too clean and 'nice'. What I enjoy about the game is exactly to clean the really dirty houses, and make them look good. The contrast/difference. But I am sure it will still be a good game. :)

When I did the living/dining area, I put the couch facing the rear wall with the dining table up against it. TV in front of the couch, chairs positioned so you could watch the TV from the dining table if you wanted. The skinny bookcase, I'd placed on the thin wall segment to the right of the kitchen (next to the window), but I'd wager it could fit just fine on the interior wall next to the larger bookcase. The wall shelf, I'd placed above the rear door, but it could go anywhere. Oh, and that one shorter wall cabinet? It's supposed to go above the fridge. I've done enough tiny builds in The Sims 4 to know a thing or two about object positioning.

playing tetris with the kitchen cabinets xD I think the light switch was the cause you couldn't place the fridge there you wanted it. I have Houseflipper 2 on my steam wishlist since september 2022 :D Can't wait to play the demo next week :)

I played the HECK out of Houseflipper. Love that game. Very cool if we can decorate the street and sidewalk in front of the house. The graphics and animations are very cool!

Never bothered with House Flipper (original) as I'm not really creative and didn't think I'd know how to decorate rooms well enough to flip the house! Looking at this demo for HF2, I'm sold! I'm going to dive into your original HF series to see what I missed with that one too and play the demo when I can. Thanks for the 'first look', I'd love to see more when released.

I really hope that there is eventually an option to customise the flipper sense to be as opaque are as bright as you want it and customise the colour contrast, it will make it a lot easier for some people

the signs would most likely be use for certain jobs involviing streets and construction or when you are gonna sell a house you finished making. 16:20 but for not I think they are just goona be decor for any house you have for the aesthetic of what you want.

So far I feel that HF2 won't replace HF1 completely, both games will be enjoyable in their own way. The job aspect seems a lot more fun in HF2, in HF1 I mainly do the jobs to unlock the properties. I prefer the art style of HF2, but the more realistic graphics of HF1 will always be what I associate with House Flipper. I can't imagine the Halloween properties being as scary in HF2, and the things that seem absolutely ridiculous in HF1 just won't be as funny in HF2 (more stylized art makes the absurdities fit in).

this is what I was hoping the first game was gunna be like, but it always felt like it was in an alpha state using random assets with clunky mechanics. This release feels much more polished and coherent. I've played the demo and it's a much more enjoyable and well designed experience than the first game. I can't wait for the release!

I first found House Flipper 1 a few months back after I had gotten a new gaming PC for Xmas. I fell in love and bought all the expansions. Put many hours into it until I got a game breaking bug. Their Luxury expansion is riddled with bugs which in turn broke alot of the game. I was so saddened to find that MANY people had the same bugs going on for over a YEAR from the exact same problem and NOTHING had been done about it from the developers. I lost all trust in this company at that point. It looks like they have made some wonderful improvements on the game. I'm not sure I want to get burned again by this company though. I will wait for the reviews before my heart gets broken a second time. If I had just read the reviews of the first game I would have never played it.

I dont think its a squeegee in the first game. Im glad you finally use one though. I think that was a steam cleaner or something in the first one. Sounded like a vaccum.

I love house flipper 1 for the ps4 but I have a funny feeling that HF2 will only be for the PS5 generation of consoles. HF1 on console does not have the apocalypse dlc as it had guns and flamethrowers and will make the PEGI/ESRB rating higher. Knives, axes and chainsaws are somehow OK for consoles, which I have always found rather odd.

Very disappointed in the demo, music in the background and black screen, I can hover over the icon and see the game running can not get it to run full screen. Sad developer :(
