Very nice blog. I live in USA and understand that you woukd to teach your children. I also teach in the jain temple religion and Gujarati class. My kids are grown up but you both are doing wonderful job with Nayra. Please keep talking in Gujarati and culture. Once they reach middle school and their life changes . But they will never forget their values.

@@sonbij02 Thank you so much for your thoughtful message and support! It's inspiring to hear about your experiences teaching in the Jain temple and Gujarati class. The mossstttt awaited and fun qna vlog i have seen .... I was so excited for this since yesterday bcos i know all the answers are gona be so transparent and candid... And TRUE. When we see others vlogs we know that its not 💯 percent true.. its all fake at the end of the day on social media... But for you it comes straight from my heart that its pure. Also when it comes to teaching our mother tongue to the child... Some days before there was a council person who visited us .. she was from japan .. even she suggested speak in your mother tongue first... I was surprised to hear that. Even i was confused same way everyone gets English or Gujarati... But after it was coming from her i was clear that gujarati first.... I am writing this here bcos i know everyone reads your comments and it could help.

@@zeibavora7994 Thank you so much for your heartfelt message! We’re incredibly touched by your kind words and thrilled that you found the Q&A so genuine and enjoyable. It’s really important to us to stay authentic and transparent, so knowing that it resonates with you means a lot. Your story about the council person from Japan is really insightful-language and culture truly play a vital role in a child’s upbringing. We’re glad you shared that here, as it might help others who are in the same dilemma. We appreciate your support and thoughtful comment!

Hello Priyank and Khusboo, I really like your thoughts of trying to communicate with Nyra in Ur mother tongue, I have lived in UK before and raising a billingul child is difficult. My mother tongue is gujarati so we used to talk in gujarati and here is nursery they have english. My mother used to tell me talk in english but I kept following my gut, continuing in Gujarati. In school they have sign language in Early years so dont come in Peer pressure. Nyra will speak English fluently (and she has whole life to speak in English) But if ur mother tongue in not spoken at home then there are incidents where kids talk in English and Grandparent just cannot communicate with them coz of English. I hope you are getting the point. Sorry for a long message but you both have to give efforts to always communicate in ur mother tongue at home

@@meghajoshi2723 Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and advice with us. We completely understand the importance of raising a bilingual child and preserving our mother tongue at home. It's reassuring to hear from someone who has been through a similar journey. We’ll definitely keep your insights in mind as we continue to communicate with Nyra in our language. Your message means a lot to us, and we're grateful for your support and encouragement!
