He's from Kazakhstan and was invited to join the Astana Opera company, but declined to pursue his career as a cross-over singer. He was raised in a successful, performing family: his mom sings opera and dad is a pop singer. His piano teacher noticed that he had perfect pitch at age 5, and he was immediately started on singing lessons. He's been on stage all of his life - if you watch some of his live performances you'll see that he has astonishing stage presence. Good next steps are Sinful Passion, Adagio, Opera 2. Thanks Leo! This version was from a Chinese show called The Singer in 2017, where he was invited to participate as a wildcard. The audience (who are the judges) are all well versed in music either as singers, or musicians, or both, so the judges are peers of the competitors. The competitors are reknowned artists in the region-China and neighbours, but none of them had heard of Dimash. He was only 22 years old here and is from Kazakhstan. Speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. Is studying English and Mandarin, and has sung in 12 other languages. Has gained worldwide fame since the show. 600 million view on Weibo for just this first performance as he was the first contestant to sing. Next day he required bodyguards. Did concerts in his home country after the show fully funded by his government to celebrate his success in China. His first Album went Platinum in 37 secs. He held live concerts in London and New York end of 2019 and sold out at each venue, with Dears from over 100 countries travelling long distances to attend. Was holding concerts in Europe till March of last year when Covid-19 shut everyone down. Composers around the world want to compose music for him to sing due to his perfect pitch and wide vocal range of over 6 octaves. Ukranian/Russian composer/producer Maestro Igor Krutoy has been reenergising some of his past hits for Dimash to sing and has composed a few specifically for Dimash's vocal marvelousness. The first one was Ogni Pietra (Olyimpico) which Dimash premiered at the Opening of European Games in Minsk June 2019. Dimash was invited by Sister Cities International to perform at President Biden's Online Inauguration Celebration.

Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won. By the way the prize was of 1,000,000.00 dollars.

He's 26 now. He's been in musical training since he was 5, and holds a master's degree in both classical and contemporary music. He sings in a dozen languages, speaks 2 fluently, and is working on learning English. Dimash, singing here in 2017 in French, is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100% and has now started his PhD. His range is over 6 octaves (almost 7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for famous professional singers (not the Voice,) in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to worldwide stardom and became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic, but he has now introduced pop songs there too. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register and has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He was on a solo world tour and in his concerts he sings for around 3 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album ( platinum in 37 seconds, triple platinum in under an hour) and a new album will be released soon. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others around the world including South America. That is the tip of the iceberg. This was in 2017 so he has had room to improve if you can believe that. Sinful Passion is a must see. It is in Russian but has subtitles. He sings in up to 12 languages so really you are in for a ride.

This was his first performance on the very famous show "I am a Singer" in 2017, that made him a star over night. I would recommend to you to follow his path at this competition (perhaps not every single performance). I would do Adagio first and then Confessa + The diva Dance, two songs that he combined in one performance (and yes it`s from the fifth element, that you mentioned). Dimash is really worth listening to, I promise.

He is a Kazakh, sang a French cover (one of the most difficult song ever) in China professional singing competition (everyone there are already established and famous singers). He was an unknown 22 years old at that time, then became sensational overnight after this performance. Since you mentioned "Fifth Element on steroids", he nailed that song without computer enhancements live on stage several times, for instance at his Bastau concert or in a duet with Beijing Opera singer Li Yugang. React to both versions if you like, because the Bastau version is so short. In other terms, his performance of Sinful Passion is just incredible, most reactors do it very early during their Dimash journey.

Wow! I think Lex is the first person who I have seen react to the beautiful violins streaming in the background. The backup bass vocals are amazing as well. Legendary composer/producer Igor Krutoy has a great ear for talent. He's up there with the Clive Davis, Berry Gordy and Simon Cowells (X-Factor) and Simon Fullers (American Idol) of the world.

1)This performance was from "I Am Singer" from 2017 2) If you recognize him he was briefly on a TV show in America in 2019 called "The World's Best",...where he dropped out so he wouldn't have to compete against children. The Dears can tell you the performance of SOS and where he performed it just by listening to the slight differences in each performance. (We're crazy that way)

This show is for professional (famous) singers. Very fun to see great singers competing, because in the west celebrities are basically afraid to compete somehow and there aren’t many shows that do this. Dimash is a great singer of this generation. Hope you’ll also check out Hua Chenyu on Singer 2017 (2nd place after Jessie J) or Singer 2020 (Champion of that season). He is my favorite artist.

Dimash is the greatest singer on the planet, incredible & incomparable with his wide range of 6 octaves & great technical abilities. This French SOS song is from The Singer 2017 competition which propelled him to Superstardom. He was 22 & is now 26 with millions of fans all around the world he calls Dears. He studied classical & contemporary (jazz, pop, etc.), got his Master’s Degree in Composition last year & is presently studying for his Doctorate. Greetings to the owner and guests of this channel…! ARTIST FACTS: DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, & multi-instrumentalist. Born in Aktobe Kazakhstan, Central Asia: May 24, 1994. He was trained in classical & contemporary music, and is well known for his exceptional widest vocal range. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living out our day to day life. His hard work for years is indeed bearing good fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a public listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the good content and message of its music. The fact that, he is able to sing his music at maximum or more than 6 octaves with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said Ooh… is Dimash human..? Alien..? Etc, I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and be surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. I believed that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home.
