This song, SOS, is from the French/Canadian rock opera Starmania, from years ago in the Rock opera era. Dimash has used it since his teen years as his intro song to new audiences. He is now 30 years old and 6'3"" tall, and has been onstage since 2 years old and training in an academy in piano and singing at 5, and has practiced and trained his body for singing ever since. He is probably the most trained multiple genre singer on the planet since Adam and Eve sung lullabies to Cain and Abel...has degrees ect.

Hello!! Welcome to the Dimash era!!! The first time I heard Dimash I was surprised just like you. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The first songs I heard from Dimash were SOS and Sinful passion. You will be tied like all his “darlings”. That's what Dimash calls his fans and there are millions of us around the world. Dimash was born into a family of musicians. At the age of 5 he began training at a music school where he was diagnosed with “absolute pitch”. At the age of 6 he won his first piano competition. He continued his studies and graduated from the University of Classical and Contemporary Music. He has a master's degree in composition and is pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He is a multi-instrumentalist (6), as well as a vocalist and composer. He has ventured into acting, audiovisual direction, dance, advertising modeling (he is 1.90 meters tall). He has won countless awards and distinctions throughout his career. The most surprising thing is that he is barely 30 years old. He speaks Kazakh (native language), Russian and English and studies Mandarin Chinese. He sings in 14 languages. Finally, I will tell you that above all these characteristics, he is an extraordinary human being who loves peace, respects his parents, his family and his culture and the best ambassador of his country, Kazakhstan, in the world!

Dimash! Another artist i discovered in 2019. Check out Sinful Passion, Daybreak (Bastau performance, the backstory is heartbreaking. I would recommend Autumn Strong from the original broadcast of the "I Am Singer" 2017 professional singer competition because Gloria adjusts the audio in her videos 1/2 note down from the original. (example: highest note Dimash sings in Autumn Strong is Eb6. Gloria's version is D6. She does this in her other videos too so do watch the backstory but the song itself, watch/hear the original video.

Nice reaction. SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! It is an existentialist song, about ups and downs in life, depression and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. This Digital Show and performance was produced by Dimash and his team during the quarantine for his audience around the world. 🌹 Dimash is a world class artist from Kazakhstan, turned 30 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, he also performs in concerts with the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He started his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 15 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. Dimash has amazing voice control, and is a really polite guy as well. ❤ The song he sings is a cover for the original which is from a Canadien space opera called Starmania. It's sung during a point where the protagonist holds his dying gf in his arms. 😊

Great reaction! 😊❤ So how did his voice compare to all the reports you’ve heard about him. I personally have no problem praising him all the time, because I know people will still be surprised after all the seemingly exaggerated hype. 😂😉 His range in this song is wide, but not wide for him. He has a few more octaves at the top and bottom. But just as impressive as his range is the control he has over his voice, the dynamics he is able to create, the different techniques he can apply to every note in his crazy range, the emotions he is able to transfer. Normally I would suggest Sinful Passion or Stranger as a second reaction, but I saw a recommendation of Opera 2 from The Singer competition and yes, that is also a wonderful song to go on. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The song is very famous and popular in China. And it's no opera song. That’s just the name of the song. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father. It's the Full version from the Dimash Fanclub Germany with English subtitles. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 21 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. By the way the audience is also the jury and the people backstage are the other competitors. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. Please continue to react to The Singer competition and if possible the stories behind. You can find them on the Gloria Wu channel. As far as I know, on this channel there are no copyright issues and there are also English subtitles. And I always recommend switching them on. In some it is important to understand what the song is about. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. I can also highly recommend the videos from the Gloria Wu channel because they show a little more of the scenes behind the scenes and there are also subtitles from the competitors, some of which are really funny.
